Out of the tri-series with a broken foot. To be honest, I can't say I'm surprised. I thought he looked like he was carrying a bit of extra weight, and was huffing and puffing somewhat.

He's been out of the Test scene for so long, I'd almost forgotten he was still playing. But his one-day record is outstanding and I'm assuming the selectors were wanting to use him in the T20 World Cup. But at 35, this could be the final curtain for him.

EDIT: Have read that the injury came from a blow to the foot, rather than being a stress fracture. So I'll take back the comments about Lee's weight. But the question still stands... is his career over?

Was/maybe still can be the best ODI bowler in the world. Hope he can get back but its not as big of a loss as it would of been a couple of years ago.

I don't think he dropped out of the test scene, just retired. He has potential to keep going for the next few years, probably retiring all together in about a years time. He is a good 20TI and ODI player and could very well hold up as one of the best in the coming world cup..

The way he's going he'll still be rolling them over at up to 150k in a few years time. Only the age has done is stop him bowling anything at 160k. His line and length is so much better too. It's not as if we have to develop quicks so if he's the best in the short form of the game he keeps playing. He'll be back opening the bowling soon enough in ODIs as will Bollinger.
