I know the whole story regarding Fiorentina's two-division jump- they decided to do that to make up the numbers in a 24-team Serie B following Catania's successful appeal to be reinstated. IMHO the game in Italy can only be screwed up in the long term, no disrespect to any club though.

Leicester went into administration last season but apparently didn't have to sell anyone. Unlike Ipswich who were able to sell Ambrose to Newcastle. Nottingham Forest were also in danger but luckily managed to sell Jenas to Newcastle as well.

If it was't for Ridsdale they're might not be a Barnsley to destroy.
Barnsley have been in administration for nearly 400 days. Two chairmans had come in since we went into administration and they both couldn't raise the funds to get us out of it. If it wasn't for Ridsale and his backer, Patrick Cryne, Barnsley would be totally stuffed, would have struggled to survive past Christmas. Ridsdale and Cryne are set to have Barnsley out of administration in less than two weeks.

He also did the right thing by Barnsley by keeping our current coach. Him and Cryne tried to buy Barnsley before the season and had their own coach lined up, but when they took over a few weeks ago they decided to keep our current coach because of Barnsley's good start.

Barnsley haven't lost a game since Ridsdale came in and have gone up to 2nd on the table. He has admitted he made mistakes at Leeds, but so far he has done wonders for Barnsley and I think he will have learnt from the past.

For your sake I hope he has, but it is too late for us, unfortunately.

The difference between Leeds and Barnsley is that Leeds were secure before Ridsdale came, Barnsley on the other hand were stuffed and it was either extinction or Ridsdale pretty much. I don't like to see any club go out of business so for Barnsley's sake I hope Ridsdale has learnt a few lessons.
