Thanks to Leicester's 2-0 win over Blackburn, poor old Leeds are dead last. My parents and most of my family are from Leeds so they are kind of my second team so I hope they can recover and stay up, doesnt look good though.

The Reds though escaped against Fulham. Thanks to Danny Murphy. Heskey is a machine :D I suppose it was ok though as Owen and Kewell played shockers and Diouf's creativity and run was missing on the right and we still ground out the win.

Important 3 points too with Man U up next.

That's what happens when you get rid of two of your best players. Blackburn will still stay alive, though - I don't know if I can say the same about Leeds.

Yes dunn and Duff are big losses. Were probably hoping that ferguson and Emerton would fill the gaps they left in better style (that said Emerton has been pretty good). I think Souness' obsession with Rangers (or old Rangers) might cost him his job.

-A few strikers.
-Some depth.
-A better away uniform.
-A keg.
-A win....or 10.

I don't know what I find more amusing:

- Blackburn hitting the skids
- Leeds going bottom
- Emile Heskey playing a good match
- One of GH's signings (Sinama-Pongolle) actually looking like a good buy
- The much talked up Everton sitting just above the relegation zone

I find most amusing that the supposed 'saviour' for Liverpool, 'the final piece of the puzzle to take 'Pool to the premiership', Harry Kewell himself has been luke-warm and Liverpool is still 10 points off the pace.

Oh Nick, don't you realise Le Tallec is now the saviour, or is it John "only a mother could love" Welsh today? We may be crap, but at least we're not delusional.

He was pretty ordinary against Fulham but other than that he has being just about our best player this season. Cant complain.

Pongolle and TLT both excellent signings.

It's bitter comments like those that will make the day Leeds get relegated a very enjoyable one. Won't get any sympathy from me.

Kewell has been excellent this season, probably scored more goals than your entire rabble.

Shouldn't you wait until they get a season or two under their belt before declaring them "excellent signings"?

With Houllier's history of signings, there's a fair bet that these two will join Anfailed's list of false saviours.

The only thing I will say is that TLT looked a lot like Cheyrou against Fulham in the white boots.

To be fair the hype surrounding these two is nothing in comparison to some of the rubbish sprouted by the tabloids after Ronaldo's first appearance as a sub.

Not sold on Le Tellac yet, but Sinama-Pongolle looks very promising. So long as GH continues to use him sparingly he should settle well. He is no Baros though. :(

Disagree.

Given what we paid for them as youngsters and what they have shown so far, they do look like very good signings.

Don't let your anti Liverpool and anti-Jod bias effect your otherwise excellent judgment Shiners;) :D
