With Llorente signed it will be interesting if they go 3 at the back more often this season which would put Aylings position in the starting line up in doubt. It’s hard to imagine Llorente will just sit on the bench.

Might see Bielsa's 'favourite' 3-3-3-1 formation, with something like the following:

Bamford

Harrison - Klich* - Costa

Dallas - Phillips - Ayling

Cooper - Koch - Llorente

Meslier

* or a more attacking player

Very flexible lineup, that can swap to a back 4 (with Llorente alongside Phillips) quite easily

Man City seem to struggle against 3 at the back, so we may see it again on the weekend. On French tv, Mendy said they still have to figure out how to play against teams who set up defensively like that. They've lost 10 of their last 36 games. I can't believe that some part of me is believing we may have a chance.

Costa vs Mendy probably our best way in, he looked extremely suspect against Leicester

City's biggest (and quite obvious issue) is their two main strikers are out for at least another 3-4 weeks (Jesus) and longer (Aguerro). Struggling to find much effective penetration into the box

Ayling's playing too well to lose his spot.

I'd be surprised if Poveda is handed a full debut, so likely here comes 90 minutes of Alioski running really fast, adjusting his hair and spraying shots in a 180 degree arc
Yeh it sucks, he’s been awesome so far. When you look at what he was like when he first joined us to the player he is now it’s pretty remarkable the difference.

New Third/Alternate Kit. Think I will buy this one. I like it. Something different

Some really positive signs again today.
They were all over us in the first 20 minutes but we settled well and finished off the half stronger.
Thought Poveda & Rodrigo made a massive difference when they came on, great to see "robert" get his first goal for the club and if not for an unbelievable save from Ederson he would've had 2. Davis really struggled when he came on though.
Strange game as we really could've (could argue should've) gone ahead, but ran out of steam in the last 10 and hung on for a draw.
Can't complain about the first 4 weeks though!
ALAW!

Yeah, definitely good things going on. The first 15 minutes were painful to watch, especially with how the team was struggling to play the ball out from the back. I think we lost the ball 4-5 times immediately after a goal kick.

But coming back into the game today, after coming back against Liverpool, regrouping again after conceding twice against Fulham and finishing the stronger team last week in Sheffield, must give the team a lot of confidence.

I really enjoyed seeing Bielsa after the game. He looked deeply satisfied. Poveda looked good too - to be honest, last week I thought he looked like a kid doing work experience, but I really liked the look of him this week.

Thought we would’ve signed a LB, love Dallas but after him I don’t think we have any decent options.

Was always going to be a stretch to fill every need in one window, and Jordan Lukaku aside i don’t think any other LBs were even linked

Likely just be Alioski and Davis as backup LB, which will have to do

Doesn't fill me with confidence those 2, would prefer we go with a back 3 instead if needed. Love what we did otherwise, after slow starts Koch & Rodrigo look like they'll be good signings. Greenwood tearing it up in the under 23's too, 5 goals in 4 games.

Neither, and I think a back 3 can’t be too far away. Doubt we signed Llorente to sit on the bench
