Bit of debate on a City board about our academy and changes that are happening to it. Anyway in one of the thread the suggestion was made that we've poached your scouting setup, two of your kids (Hutton and Swan) and David Harrison who is supposed to be your head of recruitment.

I have heard earlier this summer that we've poached one of your kids, but had heard nothing about the above until I read this thread.

Any truth in it?

We've signed Micky Doyle from Coventry on a season-long loan. From all reports he's a hard-tackling defensive midfielder that we lack.

Don't care that it's a loan. It's for the season and there's no point spending money when there a cheaper alternatives available that will do just as good a job.

Yeah I'm quite happy for us to loan our way up to the Championship without buying another player.

wouldnt surprise me...if City are paying a fee, Bates wont care, he'll pocket it to invest in his elland rd hotels

Our academy is brilliantly run at the moment, would be a great asset for you if you poached our nucleus..Neil Thompson is the brains behind it all though apparently..you'd be better off going after him
