we won't trade him he is contracted for two more years st kilda have only OFFERED the second pick thats right OFFERED we would want leigh fisher and the first round pick but i doubt schnider will leave he is CONTRACTED for two more years and wants to stay in sydney apparently st kilda is interested in jude bolton and i believe fisher might be tied up in a trade for bolton but we would probably get first round pick as well who is not contracted at st kilda? i know maguire is signed up thou but trust me schnider won't be let go if he wants to stay in sydey as it is reported and how can he be packing his bags for st kilda if he is in bali??? i think the bali source or the pakcing bags source may be wrong i believe it is like the darren jolly channel ten thing rumours that will never happen

Fisher is a bum, and nothing more, he will not fill the role Roosey thinks he will. Ask yourself this if he was any good why would St Kilda let him go when they are chasing a premiership within the face of 3 years. It defies logic.
Maybe because we also have S.Fisher, Goddard, Gram, Gilbert, R.Clarke, Attard, Gwilt and Ferguson all on the list as medium defenders?

Sam Fisher, Goddard, Gram and Gilbert are untouchables while Clarke, Gwilt and Ferguson are all unproven and Attard has no trade value. Leigh Fisher is a good player and I have him in our best 18, but there isn't a huge gap between him and the next few options. He plays in a position that we have an excess of players in and is the only expendable player who has proven himself at AFL level.

What we desperately lack are quick, skilled midfielders and half forwards. Schneider is the perfect fit for St Kilda. Why Sydney want another slowish medium negating player for Schneider I don't know, but he has had a physical at Sydney so you are obviously interested.

and they reported that jolly was leaving as well he ain't going to leave roo's will refuse
The only speculation I ever heard about Jolly was on bigfooty, and by extension SEN. If every media station is sayign that he will be at St Kilda by Friday, the chances are that it will happen.

Still don't know if the deal will actually include Fisher.

For the Sydney supporters who have actually seen Fisher play (not the ones who haven't heard of him and therefore think he is a hack) - Would you prefer Fisher or pick 26 for Schneider?

I havent seen him play (or atleast i cant remember him) but going by his statistics i would prefer him than getting pick 26. It may seem conservative but i always prefer to know what im getting rather than taking a shot in the dark and hoping to find a good player.
