Read an article on him in the Satureday Herald Sun, and he seems a real class act as well as a top notch footballer. Can we ignore his excellent playing this year (2 overall in official rankings) and not promote him under the rotation system next year? I personally think not.

Lenny Hayes is a gun. But I think as good as he is, Hamill is a senior leader for the club and should continue to hold the captaincy for the Saints within the near forseeable future.

I think Hamill should keep the captaincy for many years to come, but if we are to continue with the rotation policy next season, then Lenny Hayes would be the best candidate.

At this point I am thinking Hamill should stay on as captain, but what happens if we miss this chance and he could have been an inspirational captain. We could miss out
