I reckon he has had a free ride for too long and avoided scrutiny. Has had the most talented team in the comp now for several years. They'll likely make finals again for the fourth consecutive year but won't be a threat. I'm aware they've had injuries, but they've been a disappointing tease, and I'm not convinced that Cameron has the coaching chops and temperament to take them to a flag.

Should the Giants persist with him? Or should they replace him while this list is in its prime and is premiership ready?

Talented team yes, but for some reason this group hasn't gelled on field. Difficult to see a flag being produced from this team.

Been given the keys to a Lamborghini and he continues to take it bush bashing and camping with a caravan in tow.

With the list they have and talent available how could anyone argue a case in support of him. GWS are just mediocre central and escape all criticism in the media because no one really cares about them.

The Pinnacle for giants was a peak loss to dogs in 16, have got worse every year since and are no threat again this year, with the talent they have something seriously wrong with culture they have created, won't win a flag with current group. Players have listened for years that a flag is just coming (it isn't) and haven't worked hard enough, going gets tough giants throw in the towel.

Why

The bulldogs produced a flag with a team that contained the following much maligned players:

Hamling
Biggs
Cordy
Smith
Jordan Roughead
Roberts
Dunkley
Mclean (known as a talentless ducker at the time)

Richmond produced a flag with the following players:
McIntosh
Townsend
Lambert
Caddy
Butler
Nakervis
Grigg
Edwards
Graham
Broad
Castagna

The GWS side has a far superior best 22.

They’re not playing as a team.

Agree that 2016 was their peak and big opportunity missed. Steve Johnson being suspended was so pivotal in such a tight game (especially when his replacement was Rhys Palmer, the one player that night who looked out of his depth). But it seems to have been a gradual and slow decline since then.

It's hard to define exactly but even when they've dominated sides their gamestyle has always felt a bit too manufactured, as if they want to play a style of footy that impresses people instead of what is most purposeful and effective. Noticed that at the end of the Carlton game when they were dominating against a demoralised opponent but seemed too needlessly clever and tricky in how they played and gave up a few goals.

Cameron's done a decent job imo but if the fail to finish top 4 again and don't make it past the second week, probably time for a new coach.

They gave an amazingly talented team across the line but more often then not struggle to bring intensity. Give that team to Clarkson and you would almost guarantee a flag.

There coach doesn’t seem to know how to adapt and make changes if they don’t get that slick ball movement going early on in games

On the other hand through they have some real flogs on that list like Cameron and Shaw who just throw in the towel early when games aren’t on there terms

They really need an Eade or Clarko type who will get hard and make players accountable unlike Cameron who seems like a soft utensil

Yeah and Chris Scott would take them to flag as well. He did it for the Cats in first year as well and is pretty consistent.

Clarkson will get a godfather of an offer that he can't refuse.
AFL will look silly that their 2 newest franchises are not even close too a flag.
The sun's are a dead club walking.
The Giants will be within 5yrs unless they win a a flag within then.
