Spot on.To be fair, the players have been fumble merchants tonight. There's nothing coaching can do to stop the players from being s**t on the night. Patton especially, absolute spud
Beginning to think this too. Think they'd like to have a better defence than what they currently have.Average coach but their list is terribly overrated.
Yeah fair to say Clarko >>>>>>>>>>>> Cameron.Beginning to think this too. Think they'd like to have a better defence than what they currently have.
I think it goes both ways though. Hawks probably didn't have a team with the raw talent GWS has right now but they were well drilled and all bought into what Clarko wanted.
The bye?Funnily enough three of the last four teams left last year have struggled relatively this year. Could be another issue to come up from the bye.
GWS still finished top four but with 14 wins and two draws and they are way behind where they were this time last year.
I think they'll bounce back. It's just going to be basically as hard as it is for any side to win a flag. The first round picks don't mean as much as people think - plenty have left and they've traded in a few oldies who have dropped off.
They were too tall and slowToo many gws players don't run defensively. It's glaringly obvious. How many times were Adelaide out numbering gws in their own half. Ridiculous. It's either a mental thing for the playing group or its coaching.
Not just tonight but all year they can't defend. Height could be compounding the issue. Carlton play quite tall particularly the backline but we play to a team built that way. Gws move the ball rrally fast. Kick to a contest and then give it up the other way. They were too tall and slow
In relative terms the teams that make it to the pointy end, who already had a late start to the preseason, now have an even later start relative to (in particular) bottom eight sides. The bye?
Not quite?Wet, dry, outdoors, indoors, it doesn't matter. GWS have been bog ordinary all season. Not quite as crap as the Dogs but not far off.
Your W/L was poorer in 2017 compared to 2016 and your % was much poorer. Relative to flag favouratism expectations for most of the year, it has been an ordinary campaign by GWS from the outset saved from being disastrous by a handful of very fortunate results. You can polish it up as much as you like but if you go out in straight sets next week it will end up being a turd of a season. Not quite?
Ummm we are a mile off that disaster
We are the 4th best team in the comp. Just a big gap between 2nd and 3rd.

Would be fittingEveryone expects them to win at least one flag, likely two, maybe three or four, but as their older guys retire, it fills even more holes in a list that's great but not perfect. No list is, but if Cameron doesn't do something soon and they don't axe him next year if they fail again, the window could shut on this mob sooner than it opened.
Jeremy Cameron is so overrated. Bloke is a big small forward and is only any good with space behind him. No good as a traditional forward when his defender can set up on his back shoulder.
