My initial thought yesterday was, lets have a look, then it was no probably not - he's 30 years old.
I wouldn't be upset if we took him in one of the drafts but I don't think it really helps us a lot - I think its fair to say it's unlikely we'll be top 4 next year, so what would the point be really?

This years AA was deserved, he was brilliant of the half back line. If we were close to a premiership, then we should look it into it. As we still seem 2-3 years away, prob to old.

I would happily take him at Glenelg though.

Why, he is was brilliant this year. Your thinking of his crap form when he played up forward in 2010. He was not the only player who was poor for Collingwood in the GF.

No he wasn't the only poor player for Collingwood that day, but it wasn't exactly the first time he has done bugger all on the day of the big dance either. Was directly responsible for Geelong's first goal of the day.

I agree he hasn't been the best player in a finals series. Still doesn't mean I would refuse to pick him up though. Would be great just for our kick ins. We sucked at them this year.

He missed 3 kick ins for the entire year. That is damn accurate.

As was Collingwoods ruck and midfield who let Geelongs midfield get the ball...

Davis was one of Collingwoods better players that game...

Davis was great at hitting his targets coming out of the backline this year.

I think he's a decent player but he wouldn't fit into our team due to his age imo.

I'm not saying we should get him, i just don't think he would make us go backwards.

I'm all for developing our youngsters ahead of people who are two years from retiring.

If he was 25 then maybe, but at 30, he's simply too old. We've already got Jaensch, Pets and Johncock who play that role very well, plus we've just picked up Luke Brown.

Will end up at Freo IMO.

I find it hard to predict where we will finsih this year. I thought that we would finish relatively high last year, but the internal problems put paid to that. With a new coach, attitude and a poper fitness base, one hopes that Sanderson's spike will materialise. However, there are just too many unnknown's for me, so I won't be predicting this year, just observing and hoping.

I believe we have plenty of players with potential to get games into and a new attitude to install and so don't have the time to spend on a player that seems to take a bit of work to get the best out of. Malthouse seemed to know what buttons to press. We have a whole squad to concentrate on and rejuvenate, and can't be diverted by new temperamental individuals.

Well I believe he is a maligned player, not superstar, but a great player, and would be a good fit inside our forward 50, but age may just be the killer here.
BTW, for all the people on here going on about LD going missing, show me your AFL careers. KNOBS. Tall poppy syndrome. Oh yeah, MickM rated him so what does that say about all your opinions.
Just on that Darren Jarmen was accused of going missing in ALL the big ones when at Hawthorn, and went on to be a star in our flags. Just got enough opportunities to prove it.
