Was really moved by this. I don’t shed a tear very often, but this brought a couple out watching the YouTube clip.

It is situations like this that makes me more proud than ever to be apart of this great club.

The sort of community impact the club can have on the well-being and lives of others is significant, and it looks like the club went out of their way to make a significant impact for this young child’s make a wish experience flying down from Darwin.

If you didn’t already buy a membership, this is the sort of act of pure heart that would make you change your mind and purchase one.. or an extra couple for that fact.

Gee football clubs play a role in giving a moment to kids who are on the rough end of a pineapple.

Im sure all do it but im proud when Geelong do their best for those who need it.

I hope the club stays in contact with the young kid and brings him back down to a few more sessions and game involvements.

This is certainly so beautiful for that precious young boy. And it is also massively special for all the players at our footy club to have the opportunity to participate in moments like this, that shine compassion and empathy into the very saddest experiences people can ever face.

Fred Rogers was right, when he was asked about the three greatest lessons he had learned in life. He went with:

1. Be kind.
2. Be kind.
3. Be kind.

So delighted that an elite sporting environment like the GFC can still be a place where this quality is practiced. Long may it last...
