Did anyone else go?

I went with no knowledge of Claypools' solo work and was blown away.

It was one of the best nights I've had watching music, and I've seen a shitload of bands over the years.

Claypool is ridiculously good, enough said, but that percussionist of his was insane.

I saw Primus with Spiderbait opening for them at the Metro in 1996 - I was right up the front about 2 meters from him. Les Claypool is the best musician (equal to some others) I've ever seen live, especially enjoyable as I'm a bass player. And no, I still can't get close to playing most of what he can :)

Very jealous that I didn't get to go this year - one of the downsides of living in Tassie (there aren't many).

As a big fan of both Primus and his solo stuff I was still blown away by his gig the other night. Live, they sounded fatter and more Primus like, the crazy masks worn by his band mates were classic. The percussion jams were epic, whilst Les was in fine form all night.

9.5/10

Needed Buzzards of Greenhill for a 10.

David Makalaster, Rumble of the diesel, Boonville stomp, Ds Diner were all killer.

For those Primus fans, they played south bound pachyderm as the only Primus tune.
