poor Fish

knows his team is about to get dismantled by ASADA and is now in panic/deflection mode

he may just kill himself when ASADA hand down their ruling and Essendon lose all premiership points and have players banned for 2 years

They all lose a bit of strength and fitness over the break.

Some more so than others.

And as stated above muscle has memory. Even if they did lose muscle, they would still be further developed than players who did not dope (Who also have a break).

So did Essendon not have a post season break?
Of course they did.. Just like every club.. Whats your point?
It was said that this training regime started when they returned to start the 2012 pre season, which for most clubs was november 2011 and went into the 2012 season up til April sometime after all the injuries hit.
But if you can train at double intenisty or for double the time other clubs can because your tissue is repairing a lot quicker, then its natural you will put on more muscle than players who arent using it..
Thats why your gym tells you to go every second day.. To give your muscle tissue time to repair.. If your tissue is repairing for eg at "double the rate" , then you could go to gym every day and double the speed you can get fit, or build muscle, or whatever goal you are trying achieve..
