I'm a Hawks supporter but I don't see how it's relevant to Goodes being a protected species.

You can't convict him of something you're not sure he even did. The evidence came up as inconclusive.
Last time I looked we had a system of innocent until proven guilty - that's whats consistent in the tribunal system. Or would you prefer to revert to Nazism and let someone be convicted for an act they may not have even committed
