The media need to do their job, at times we don't like it. Pretty obvious we didn't play last week and there were no Collingwood stories to sell papers, so they took a story that took 5 days to even surface and played it out in the media. Did Ed and Co. cross a line, I personally think they did but as we all can see it became all about Eddie not the other two involved. Rightly or wrongly we sell papers and certain individuals make a living through this medium and the type of reaction gives them validation, let's drop it. Don't buy the papers or click on the links, it's everyone's choice and more importantly don't acknowledge and validate their reason for being.

I also question if the comment was reversed and they put say in KB's name or dare I say it a male name would there even have been a reaction, a total non-event. If we don't include women in the commentary are we infact providing differential treatment because of gender. I qualify this by saying any violence against anyone is wrong. Women should be part of the banter if they truly want to be included in the AFL, sometimes it does cross lines that should't be crossed but they have all put their hand up and acknowledged it. Move on.

Yep. CGU has "See it through ". Fat chance they will pull out.
And you do wonder what the marketing at Holden were thinking when they signed the sponsorship deal.
We are the biggest club but hated by a tenfold more. Of course there will be negative press and scandals about us. It is what we are. To see them threaten to pull out after only a few months doesn't bode well for them. And to be honest, I hate the Holden Logo on the 2016 lanyard. I want the MagPies back on there.

I boycotted Holden years ago..they're crap cars!

I think my last Holden was a VN (circa 1990) and I've never considered ever buying another.

Work offered me a company Holden and I said, no thanks, I'll supply my own, just pay me an allowance.
