This team is not good enough to win the flag....

They may have more superstars than our premiership teams but they lack the heart and belief to win ala 97 and 98. See them today intimidated by the Power shirt yet again! this team accepts mediocrity... ohh big deal we lose close games.. that isnt good enough, 13/9 and 6th position is not good enough for what weve spent getting this team together.

Its time to do a complete rebuild like the saints did in 1999 and pick up youngsters with high picks (trade our fake superstars to obtain these picks)

Collingwood, Brisbane and Port are soo much better than us its not funny.

Theres no point of mediocrity, if your going to be 5th or 6th best each year you might aswell be 15th 16th and get future superstars that will help this team in the future.

Today really showed what this teams about. Mediocrity.

No thank you.

Ball, Goddard, Riewoldt, Montagna, X. Clarke, Dal Santo, Koschitzke, Brooks, Maguire...

4 years of pain (on top of the other 100) for a potential dynasty?...

We're in the middle of a "potential dynasty" right now? Who's to say St Kilda will fare any better?

And yes, four years of pain is too much. Way too much. Is that what we should do? Tank the next four years and then start to get serious?

Right, see you in 2008.

Awww Dave - lighten up comrade! ;)

The Saints are the ones on the verge of something very special - we're on the verge of a catastrophe. Everyone barring Ricciuto is woefully out of form, old or injury-prone.

What does next year bring... who the hell knows?!! At least the men from Moorabbin can look forward with relish and certainty as their galaxy of young stars can only improve and go forward.

Yes yes I know... we're playing finals, they're not... but I sense you understand me on this one. :)

And that's where I disagree with you.

And besides any team can improve when their previous standards are so low. It's maintaining a high standard that's the challenge.

We've made the finals for the third year running. It's the first time we've done that in our entire time in the competition. We should be aiming to keep that going.

Argghhh, I'm too scared to think about next year and the Crows-signs are not too good at the moment

I think I might defer my footy interest for season 2004 :(

No doubt.

We're the Adelaide Football Club - considering it's a final eight out of sixteen teams I expect us to be at least in the top 50% of AFL clubs every year.

What irritates me is our underachievement and lack of bottle when it counts... once this season is over and done with, either next week or in a month's time this has to be rectified.

The Saints have always been a small fish in a big pond... us on the other hand, have always had the potential to dominate the oceans as a mighty blue, red and gold whale... but everytime we look close to fulfilling our potential we beach ourselves for no bloody good reason.

While we languish on the beach for the time-being, the Saints look like transforming from carp to barracuda.

Oh how I love fish and seagoing mammal-based analogies.

I'm glad you've come round Carmelo. We're good enough to beat the average to poor teams when we're switched on, but we can't handle the upper class sides.

I can't see that changing in the near future.
