I have seen that there have been a lot of new posters on this board who are Collingwood supporters and they have come in with all guns blazing.

I am a Collingwood supporter. I see all this abusing and counter abusing as a total waste of time and wasted net connection fees.

Both sides should stop.

If you agree with me, please say so, if not please, no abuse.

I am not taking sides on this issue, it is all just a bit boring.

Spot on Greig. Yeah it's getting a bit "outa control" around here at the moment. No one should forget that there are good (like yourself Greig) and bad supporters of every club and you shouldn't tar all Collingwood fans with the same brush. Ah football, it is a reflection of life

To all those people around here who have come over from the Collingwood forum - we here at BigFooty have many Collingwood fans who have been here at BFooty for a long time and have made good and not so good contributions to the discussions - just like the rest of us.

Jaffa, Magpie Greg, Cj, Kevin Sooky etc etc have been here for ages and it has not been a problem at all.

Then these new guys show up - and you know its just like watching an old movie like 'The Wild Bunch' or something, you know what I mean - nice sleepy little town gets terrorised by a bunch of bikers - so to all those new Collingwood people :

CHILL OUT and stop the slanging matches - otherwise take your gormless abuse somewhere else please !

As a magpie fan, I agree completely. We should stick to footy, and any bagging to be about the relative merits & otherwise of our players, coaches, etc, etc.

Can't help feeling, though, that most of this criticism of Collingwood fans is quite unwarranted: the vast majority of all insults here are TOWARDS woodsmen or in response to the taunts.

SS11: AS you probably read on Nick's BB, obscenities and profanities help no-one. They are usually a sign that your argument or point is devoid of any real meaning or value.

BLUEY: is there any facility for having a club's logo appear in the column where our name/details appear next to posts?

Same here, this site is bigfooty, so as the name says footy that means you talk about footy. I know every team gets dissed sometime. Lets keep the site as it should be, a place for fellow footy supporters to talk about footy subjects. We all love the same game, not as if we follow gridion and soccer and tennis, we all love footy so lets just chill out.

I didn't come on to this site looking for a fight. But I get here and what do I see? Topics that are blatantly attacking Collingwood. What am I supposed to do?

Listen, I've probably bagged Collingwood more than the rest of you put together. This season just gone completely ripped the guts out of me. On Nick's Page I was always giving people the shits with my depressed grizzling.

But it's one thing for a Collingwood fan to bag Collingwood. When it's a product of pain, the true believers will understand. But when a non-Collingwood person bags Collingwood, and I'm anywhere in the vicinity, you better duck because the shit is gonna hit the fan.

And when it comes to throwing shit, I'm better at it than most.

They were the ones that started swearing & threatening to take over this board for pies supporters, get your blinkers off mate & just enjoy this site for what it is, a site for supporters for ALL teams.

I agree. It's a site for the supporters of both clubs, Collingwood and Non-Collingwood. Obviously you barrack for Non-Collingwood and I respect that.

Hey look. I've been coming to this site for about 2 or 3 days. It is physically impossible to read every post on this Board. Life is much too short. I'm used to Nick's Page, which is much smaller.

All I know is that the only mud-slinging I have done has been in response to blatant anti-Collingwoodism. I don't know who started it. All I know is it wasn't me. But when my Club gets slagged off by morons I'm not just going to take it on the chin.

That is very convenient to say you haven't got time to see who started all the mud slinging, but when you do you will see that up until 2 days ago when a lot of pies supporters came into this site, hardly anyone said anything bad about collingwood. All the bad things you have been reading have been in response to the abuse & vitriole of the pies supporters who have only recently come here. Until you do have time to read previous posts, don't accuse the people here of being anti collingwood, it's your supporters caused it.
