Let's talk Ports! Part 3

Jacko is going to play for Barooga Football Club on the NSW side of the Murray River and work with the inlaws on the Vic side of the river in Cobram in their business Oasis Homes. Cobram have a team and they both play in the Murray Football League. Might have to make that footy league a bit of a Port feeder league because a few of our current/recent players would have been associated with the footy clubs in Echuca, Moama and Deniliquin that play in the league.

If you wanted to see a textbook definition of what 'Defend to attack' actually looks like in a general sense, I give you Oscar Valdez:

Speed in evasion that makes the attack of opponents redundant when they appear to be pressing the advantage, and then BOOM! Counter the press with your own attack with lightning quick speed. You don't want to absorb pressure with useless defensive blocks that lead nowhere, but instead use it against your opponent and use the fact that they are out of position during an attack to counter quickly.

This is why we want explosive guys off of half-back and through the midfield - Aliir, Jones, Byrne-Jones, Burton, Bonner, Hartlett, Bergman, Duursma, Amon. Guys who can hit that counter with speed. Add Fantasia, Butters and Rozee to the mix, along with guys like Marshall and Georgiades, and you've got the makings of something very special.

In the 2015 Year Book it has
114 Jackson Trengove Rd 1 2010 v North Melbourne Football Park
115 Andrew Moore Rd 1 2010 v North Melbourne Football Park
116 Jay Schulz Rd 1 2010 v North Melbourne Football Park
117 Mitch Banner Rd 1 2010 v North Melbourne Football Park
118 Scott Harding Rd 1 2010 v North Melbourne Football Park
119 Cameron Hitchcock Rd 1 2010 v North Melbourne Football Park

guess someone at the club has their own order when more than 1 player debuts in the same game.

Alphabetical order of those names listed
114 Andrew Moore
115 Cameron Hitchcock
116 Jackson Trengove
117 Jay Schulz
118 Mitch Banner
119 Scott Harding

Whereas AFL Tables has gone alphabetical on family name.
And the Year Book's one is just random. Maybe their guernsey numbers?

Or more likely, they just had six pins and just handed them out in any order to the players.

Now they just have to learn how to punch the crap out of their opponent!

Rewatched this morning and had to reshare.

Never got to see that! Thanks for sharing. That was one of the greatest start to finish atmospheres that night. To think we only had 20k is insane. A full house would've been our loudest crowd ever by a long way.

Sounds like the Michael Slater/Brendon Julian test cap situation. Wonder if Jacko got a 116 tattoo? 😂
