Don't know about impact but I think we can make them. A final against Geelong at the MCG would be a dream come true.

We should make the finals and I think we will more than likely be far better prepared to give account of ourselves than the last two years.

Still need to get there but I don't think we're far off that.

Yeah we need to beat Freo, we owe 'em a touch up I reckon. They dealt our season a fatal blow last yr so it's only fair we repay with interest.

If we were to play Geelong at the MCG that would be a good result for us.

I have just gotten back from the game at the Gabba.

bye the way a great win,you guys have surely gotten the better of us for a few years now.

That said. Both teams played atrocioulsly today. The skill level was abysmal.

I think we can make the finals . Today we made a point that we mean Business by beatings the Lions .

Go EAGLES! :)

3 from 3 is feasible. Let's keep playing a good brand of football to carry into next season. I get the feeling our goal kicking inaccuracy may costs us.

No, let's not think Finals.

That's exactly what cocky Dockers and Essendon players were doing on the weekend and gee did it cost them.

One game at a time, anyone? Let's respect our next opponents, Carlton, and not "do a Connelly".

exactly. While the last three games are all winable, they won't be easy, especially the last two. The players just need to keep doing what their doing and not get ahead of themselves. There's still some hard work to do.

I agree VOR. It's very important that we don't take for granted the game against Carlton. If we do I wouldn't be surprised it they came here and beat us. If I'm not mistaken Carlton beat Adelaide in Adelaide after the Crows had a good win away. This seems to be the year of very unexpected results.

well i'm much more positive now.

haven't once said we won't make the finals, but now i have the feeling we will end there.

Of the 5 teams going for 6th, 7th and 8th we have BY FAR the best run home.

Which game were you watching ? I thought both teams played well and fought hard, with West Coast of course winning out.

I would not think about any finals till we have at least won our remaining games to get there. If we start to think about them, we may get inside the comfort zone and drop the game we need to get in.

No, our quest is not finished....

Very true.
But I take inspiration from this:

Carlton - ROUND 15 2003
West Coast 28. 19. (187) def. Carlton 10. 11. (71)

Melbourne - ROUND 21 2003
West Coast 21. 17. (143) def. Melbourne 14. 7. (91)

Once again just like your name suggests, you are in fact....the voice of reason. Let's take it one week at a time and concentrate on beating Carlton!

Lets put this in perspective too. Carlton are no easy beats they just knocked off Essendon and have had some other good wins, including an away victory over Adelaide.

The players need to buckle down this week. Fire up for the derby after that. Then they got to focus on smashing Melbourne. Noeasy feat any of them.

Finals seem an eternity away!

Sorry mate, both teams skills were abysmal.
Turnovers galore, dropped marks etc.it was a poor game skill wise to watch.

Abysmal is Adelaide and Kangas a couple of weeks back

West Coast 28. 19. (187) def. Carlton 10. 11. (71)

SATURDAY APRIL 24, 2004
Carlton 14.8 (92) d West Coast 6.7 (43) :)

Although, of course, conditions will probably be a world away from the slippery conditions at Optus Oval from round 5. On a hard, fast ground I would be surprised if the Blues got anywhere near the Eagles.

True, that wasn't our best game :)
