Gibbs still HAS to be the number 1 pick IMO.

If we can get another high draft pick in case Leuenberger goes past the first few, then we should do it.

Would like us to grab Moss with our 2nd or 3rd rounder, HBF-do you think he may still be around by then?

I really like the look of Moss and i thought he would be a great buy when I saw him in the championships. But pick 17 and 19 will be used on Obrien, Hislop, Connors etc and pick 35 is our father son pick

IMO, he'll still be around by picks 17-19, but there will be better mids still available at that time in Boak, Armitage, Houli, O'Brien, Petterd and maybe Connors. If he is still available at #35, i think the club would consider him. FWIW, I think he'll go around 25-30

wat about nathan brown do u guys think we should try and pick him up. got all australian full back

haha, there's another nathan brown running around?

If Gibbs wasn't in this draft, i'd take Leuenberger in a heart beat.
Nope, even though you've seen alot of them play.

I'd hope we would snap up Gibbs and Hansen if we had two picks and they would be a vital part of our set up for 10 years. The Bombers roved to Madden in the 1993 Grand Final and don't forget this is their Colts, not seniors.

Nice to see Jaryd Morton kick two. ;)

How did Leuenberger get the medal yet be named second best by his coach?

because the medal wasn't voted on by his coach ??

if we are lucky enough to get 1 and 2 then given our ruck stocks, i think Leuey would be playing himself right into contention......

But you're so hell bent on us getting a ruckman Cypher. If we could get the best one available in this years draft, what's the problem?

Why does Gibbs have to be number one?

Would be funny if we picked someone else at #1........I'd back the recruiters in

Because he is a prodigous 17 y.o talent, with the head of a 22 y.o with 5 years in the system?? :p Remember if he wasn't picked up he would be running around in the U18 champs again next year.....scary how dominant he might be. ;)

What problem?

We need to draft a ruckman this year, but I'm not hellbent on drafting a ruckman if he isn't as talented as as the "famous five".

Do you think Hansen wouldn't have starred in that game if Morton kicked two?

Big risk taking a ruck as one of the top picks, no matter how talented they are. History has shown that it is not a sound investment.

They take a long time to develop and if you play them too early you run the risk of turning them into injury prone blokes who struggle to string games together:thumbsd:

Agree, we should stick with Gibbs. As for a ruckman why not trade Russell with port for fabian deluca?

Gibbs. I can't stop thinking about how dominant our midfield could be with Gibbs, Murphy, Walker, Simpson, Blackwell and maybe Obrien, Conners, Petterd etc.

*drools*

We don't need a superstar ruckman for them to have an impact. Leuenberger would be nice, but someone like a Renouf or Laycock would do just fine.
