That's the thing, anytime Levi grabs one outside 50, first option, give it off by hand.

Mids should fill their boots on that.
As we saw though, give him a roost from 50 out,he wasnt far off the target!.
I feel that one day we will be lauding him for his goal kicking prowess from long range!.
Within 30m,now that's where we collectively facepalm.

There was some great footage of Hawkins follow through after a set shot against Freo on Sat night, kicked right through the ball with great authority and penetration, Levi needs to adopt a similar approach.

Hold it better/straighter, lean over the ball to limit the gap/distance of the ball drop between hand and boot, run straight and go whack....

Yeah but apart from those area's he is pretty much text book....:D

This is what I cant understand, if there was any significant work being done on his technique you would think it would be noticeable.

When Fev made changes to his grip it was very evident and Robbie Wall's used to comment about it every week.:p

Maybe we should send Cas to Tuscany then!!.:D
Is that where Walls racked off to?!.

Get Hudson or Wade guide him,FFS anyone!!.

Efa.

This whole, you have to kick drop punts from set shots is bollocks in my book.

Harping here, but the ball is the same shape, and the 2 lumps of wood have been the same distance apart for 130 years.

To make it even easier, any mark taken inside the goal square is taken from directly in front for the last 5 years.

There's a reason you get taught to guide the ball onto your foot with one hand, it's allows the kick to be more accurate more often.

Because of his double handed ball drop, for Levi to kick straight both his hands need to leave the ball at exactly the same time which is very hard to do plus because he's dropping it with both hands it's free falling from a higher position allowing more time for things to get out of whack before the ball hits his foot.
