Levi will be very good for us.

He's only played a few senior games. Give him time. Last night was mental as well, he will learn. J.Brown was no superstar in his first 10 games.
True, although he moved really well from very early on, I remember thinking that very early on.
Is Levi Casboult actually Corey McKernan in disguise?
Not bad, although McKernan was far more handy in the ruck. Having said that though, if Levi has a year or two like McKernan's '96, then we are set.

I would pick our best 22 which was Hampson backing up Kreuzer in the ruck. Casboult has a lot of work to do before he overtakes Warnock and Hampson as the back up ruckman.

If the pre-season goes to plan, we might see Watson at CHB and forward. Then we'll have Kreuzer, Hampson, Waite and Henderson keeping Casboult of the side as forward or forward/rucks.
I was looking at Casboult more as forward than as a second ruckman.
To be honest I wouldn't have either Hammer or Levi in our starting 22 in round 1 next season if we have a full list to pick from come round 1.

If Knockers can actually get his body right I would have him in as our second ruckman before either Hammer or Levi.

Our forward set up in round 1 2013 is anybody's guess. Hampson and Levi would both have to be considered at this stage as being part of it depending on what free agency may bring and the development of Luke Mitchell in the preseason.

I know he is just a kid and everybody here has been raving on about him, but in all seriousness, whenever he takes a mark in the forward line ... I find it very hard to excited about it, because I know he will butcher the kick.

He's a lovely mark though.

I think he can markedly improve though, in kicking. By all reports last year he took a bit to get his kicking going after injury but by the finals he had a pretty decent action going.

He's another who converted from soccer at 16 and if we remember how bad Hampson was (i.e kicking off his knee in training :o ) and how much we improved his kicking I think Levi will be alright. May always be a bit like Riewoldt and Cloke though; on-days and off-days.

I watched his ball drop and how he was kicking the ball tonight... looks like the ball drop was spot on tonight... because tonight, instead of slicing it from right to left, he was starting right and it went straight off the boot. No slice to it at all.

So someone at the club has been working on his ball drop this week and it looks like it worked.
That would be a draw Dram;)

Slice would be left to right action for him, I see it often when I use my driver....:thumbsu:

I find it funny how a lot of people have backflipped on this kid. It's not as though he didn't get chances. His kicking was horrid, yes, but it beats having a forward that can't get his hands on it.

Honestly really looking forward to next year. Levi was begging to just be given a game, and now that he has a few under his belt, he knows what is required at AFL level. I am very hopeful that Luke Mitchell will have a solid pre-season and possibly look at a debut in the second half of next season, and then there's Sam Rowe who hopefully will get a gig next year.

Heads up.

Not giving up on him. I believe he'll be better next year after another pre season.

Good man :thumbsu:

I agree that his kicking is a worry but I think it has improved quite a bit from when he first got to the club. I think it was in the NAB cup in 2011 when we played the doggies, Levi took a mark deep in our forward line and his kick at goal was just about the worst I have ever seen.

It seems he is doing plenty of work on it and will only improve further.

i love his efforts and attack on the ball in the air just wish he could kick.Hard to fix a horrible technique like his but any improvement would be good

He has already started on fixing the issue... thats why the ball was hanging out to the right instead of going right to left.

I'm ambidextrous... probably about 60/40 so it's all a slice to me :D:thumbsu:

People shouldn't feel they have to defend their lifestyle choices. Respect D-Man. :thumbsu:
True... apparently I am supposed to be left handed like all my siblings :D
