There's a core group of kids that Swans were trying to entice up to play with them that wanted to stay in Bunbury and I think it's the reason the colts had a camp in Bunbury this pre-season, to entice more to play for Swans. The kids that Swans were after included Bennell, Quartermaine, C Garlett, Jetta (Neville). They travelled back to Bunbury every Saturday night to play in the SWFL the next day. They have very close bonds with Bunbury and didn't like leaving it, evidently.

Not wanting to leave Bunbury could be a pretty serious issue, especially if you are a club on the other side of the country.

Lewis Jetta played in the pre-season scratch match for us and it was clear then that he has special talent, he was as impressive as swift in that scratch match.
All the talk is he needs to put on some weight but he is electrifying because he is light and nimble.
I hope we get him along with Brandon Matera to get our midfield depth up with the best again.

I play basketball in Bunbury with his uncle (and against Lewis) he is an Eagles supporter. Wants to play for us

We'll have to use our pick 18-19 to get him though because he won't be around at pick 34-35. And thats if he hasn't already been selected of course.

There's still going to be some good options with our 2nd round pick that'll will force us to make a difficult choice as to who to select.

nah the interviewer just said have you talked any clubs and he said yeah "15 out of 16, but i want to play for the eagles i really want to play for the west coast eagles."

That truly made my day when I heard that I suspected as much, but hearing him confirm it like that was terrific.

If we can get him and Travis Colyer in the draft I will be very very happy.
