I know it is extremely early and I know it's only the nab cup, but Jett's looks real good this year. Yesterday he just looked so calm and poised out there. His agility really stood out yesterday. There were heavily congested contests and he picked the ball up and backtracked and weaves in and out , pretty much made everyone look like they wer in slow motion. His experience is showing through now and he seems to have matured as a player and looks set to capitalise on his physical strengths this year

Was impressed with his poise & run, IMO he needs to work on his disposal in the F50 after the run, having said that, most of the team are behind him. Seems to be the type of player that doesn't need a big preseason, he seems to be in front of the others.

Not all of them? lol, one who might not be is when he ran the field yesterday on one of his trademark burns then gave a hanball looking for the old one-two only to get fresh aired as he was charging into the forward 50.. Who was the player that fresh aired him and went inside instead? Was it White?

LRT from memory.

Actually what impressed me at the ground was that Jetta's endurance seems to have gone up another level.
At one stage made a (positional) run on one wing, ball went the other side and out of bounds. Jets raced across to the boundary throw in.
The guy tagging him (Geary) simply got burned off.

One of the highlights of the day for me. :)

Yeah it was LRT, probably why he ended up on the bench, lol.

I agree on Jetts though, he seemed that much more confident, and his endurance does appear to have improved. I'm looking forward to big things from the guy.

In 2012, I don't think he really knew how to use his weapons to their full extent, he was just that much quicker that he managed to burn off his opponents. I think this year he's going to start using his speed/evasiveness in a much more creative fashion.

If that does eventuate, 2014's going to be a crazy year.

He actually has potential to win a Brownlow. If he can rack up 20+ Disposals each game, kick 2-5 goals each game, and just overall standout performances which is what the Umps notice the most, i can't see why not.

There's a bloke called Usain Bolt who's got a bit of pace. He's reasonably big.
True that he's big, but he has the big legs to carry it. And then there's blokes called Karmichael Hunt and Israel Folau who were told to lose a stack of weight. By all reports, Karmichael has lost heaps of bulk now.

He needs to bring the chase down tackle into his game more. Davey used to be exceptional at this for the Dees and Jetts could do it. Very exciting seeing him on the run. Without a doubt one of the big reasons for our success last year. When those middle of the road plodders take that next step and dominate then you have one more gun to rely on. Not that he was a plodder but sure had me doubting when he shirked a lot of contests.

He wouldn't catch Jetta.. He wouldn't handle Jetta's little double step shimmy thing.
But I agree he does look a little more solid through the chest and shoulders.., no problem with that at all and its not strange after summer most come back similar. fwiw, Jetta is not that small at 6ft tall, wiki says 75kgs Id guess a couple more its just that most footballers in the AFL are massive these days. He is very balanced a pleasure to watch in full flight.
