LFFL LFFL Draft Discussion

nice attempt at attempting to start a run on the rucks Skooks.

What run?

I was simply pointing out a telling statistic I thought a few of the lesser learned of you might like to know.

Just simply highlighting how to win a LFFL flag, the way some of you are drafting, it seems you don't have a clue.

:)

Luckily for us overattedness (is that a word) is not subtracted from your utility point count. Cross = Bargain pick of the draft to date.

No, but it does subtract from your own personal dignity. I wouldn't have taken Cross or Swan or Lucas or Mitchell if they were still around in round 20, but that's just me.

If you don't believe me I will not be taking any of the following players no matter how long they last.

Dane Swan
Luke Hodge
Heath Scotland
Ben Johnson
Lindsay Gilbee
Shaun Burgoyne
Leigh Montagna
Chris Newman
Danyle Pearce
Brent Moloney
Bowden brothers
Motlop brothers

+ lots more.

Turn it up.

You can say that you wouldn't draft said players since they'll go too high for your liking, but to say that you won't draft Lucas, Cross, Hodge etc no matter how long they last is BS.

If I'm going to win LFFL I'm going to do it with a team I like. I couldn't live with myself if it included Swan, Cross, Hodge, Lucas, Mitchell etc.

Not many great forwards left. You'd have to think the next few picks have to be forwards/ruckmen...

Disagree mate, I think I could utilise Cornes in a defence/midfield/forward role sometime throughout the year, especially if he's getting 26 disposals, 10 marks and 4 goals in a game he could even play as my utility.

Thats what I thought. Actually being able to pick where hes gonna play from week to week is nigh impossible, so as a forward its a massive risk and hes wasted as midfield and much more suited to back because of his marks. And his stats aren't suited to the utility position because of his lack of tackles.

Top quality back none the less.

It's called Luck.
Call it what you like, but I've got the forward who I rated 2nd best in the draft accompanied by the utility I rated 2nd, also. I'll just sit back waiting for the next gem to drop into my lap.

Skooks is right. It has been luck. That's not taking away from your side. Obviously you take the best player available, you're just fortunate that two players slid further than they should.

P.S-Please explain this "Riewoldt is the 2nd best forward" logic.

He can't explain it, its total bull****.

All explanations will be seen upon the release of the book I'm penning at the moment; 'LFFL Goliath' written by amos. Forward by Skooks.

That alone convinces me you know very little about the game these days.

Agreed Xie. That explains his MPFL fall from gun to struggler. It all started when Duff destroyed him in 2006.

Nice. Did you decide to write this after your sucessfull debut book:

"How to talk shit; the amos way". Forward AND Chapter 1-5 by Skooks.
I'm in awe of Skooks. 'The Ultimate Guide to deception' was a comedic masterpiece.
