Bloody hell, at this rate I'm going to draft Jarrad McVeigh and play him as my ruckman. Actually, I think Adam Simpson gets quite a few "third man up" hitouts, might draft him and play him in the ruck.

Happy with my forwards, as there were so little left, now i can stop worrying about picking them up and just focus on my other positions.

Hopefully Chris Tarrant gets his act together again, because when he does he takes a crap load of marks and kicks a hell of alot of goals.

Thommo will be 100% fit and raring to go, could have been playing in the finals but we decided not to risk him. One of the best full forwards in the league.

1.4 The scoring system
Goals: 6 points
Behinds: 1 point
Mark: 2 Points
Tackle: 5 points
Hit Out: 1 point
Possession: 1 point

And here, they get position bonuses.
1.5 Position points allocation
Forwards: Goals + Behinds + Marks
Tacklers: Tackles
Ruckmen: Hit Outs + Marks + (Goals + Behinds) / 2
Midfielders: (Possessions * 1.5) + (No. of Goals) ^ 2
Backmen: Possessions + Marks
Utility: Will receive points from all criteria

So someone like Steve Johnson averaged 70s last year?

No, that's not correct. Steven Johnson would get his poins from these sections only (assuming you played him as a middy;

Ruckmen only score from hitouts, marks, goals & behinds.

If you played Steve Johnson as a forward and he gathered 20 posessions, 3 goals, 5 marks and 5 tackles he would score 18 + 0 + 10 = 28

As a midfielder he would score 30 + 9 = 39

The thing is, webfooty used to have a standard scoring system, like the one Skooks listed. All players except wingmen got additional bonuses. A HFF, for example, would receive an extra point for a goal, and double points for F50s. Everything else he was given points for the standard scoring system, like 1 pt for a possession.

A BP would get double points for a tackle, and double points for D50.

FF and FP would bonus points for a goal, double points.

The way that scoring system was shown is the exact same way as Skooks set it out.

Now, someone tell me so I know, this scoring system is for utilities, yes? Utilities don't get anything multiplied by 1.5 do they?

The thing is, lucky I found out now. I wouldn't have taken Mitchell with my first pick, but Steve Johnson and Bowden I probably still would have.
