I couldn't decide on who out of Power and Stants for a crapload of time last night. With FL and Skooks already having taken their forwards and rucks, I knew Stants wouldn't be there on the way back either.

Havent decided yet

I was actually going to take a utility with this pick and then saw Goodwin still available so i snapped him up before someone else did.
 
How the hell are there still quality ruckmen available like Jamar, Street, Richards, Cloke and Newman?
 
Pretty happy with my picks, Peter Burgoyne and Adam Simpson both ball magnets will slot into my midfield nicely.

Be interesting to see how Willo goes and what role he plays in Buddy's box. He was a back to back 60+ goalkicker before going down last year. He has explosive speed off the mark, he doesn't have the tank for a midfield role, which means he'll most likely be a forward pocketing goalkicker who needs to play short but has always played tall. Hawthorn ALWAYS honoured Willo's leads before Buddy arrived too. Will be an intriguing one.

Even better though, check out the forwards falling fast. Glad I got my 2 BIG forwards early.

With whats left in the Forwards. I suppose it isnt to bad. But i would have taken Williams over Rusling. I'm not convinced of the kids talent and his shoulders.

I reckon Williams should be fine in Hawthorns structure up forward. We had Dickon in that role last year and he had a shocker. Williams still a nightmare matchup for opposition coaches. Lightning quick leading Forward and just another string to the Hawks Foward Line.

Williams has a much bigger question mark over his body for '08 than Rusling has. Plus the fact that Willo won't have a full pre-season, and also Willo's injury potentially affects his speed.

Also Williams dominated when he was the sole focal point up forward. Now that Buddy, Boyle and Roughead are down there, they won't kick it to him every time.

Also there was talk (from Sam Mitchell on SEN IIRC) about Willo playing a role as a HFF leading up to the wings and delivering the ball into the forwardline.

Still a heap of question marks over Willo, which made me go Rusling. I had locked in Rusling at this pick once I saw there was going to be the 2nd run of key forwards, but tbh I really didn't expect Williams to be available.

Still very confident Rusling will do a job for me.
 
Rusling is a decent pick imo. The only question marks on him is his shoulder and the pressure that his position will be under considering the pies have Cloke, Rocca, Rusling, Fraser, Reid and Dawes.
