Liam Jurrah - Gun or Hack?

Robertson was also a veteran last year, whilst Jurrah was a first-year player, so that comparison is totally inappropriate and doesn't help your argument at all.

If he was playing for your club, you would love the guy.

I think Jurrah has been pretty consistent so far, he kicked a goal in each of his games, and kicked 4 goals three times in his first 9 matches.

Further, it isn't as if you'd expect a rookie to be perfectly consistent in any case, so I can't really see how you can fault his ability to deliver on a regular basis at this point in time.

I guess re the consistency thing, I meant more disappearing for sections of the game not consistency from week to week. He definitely performed well from what i saw for a rookie! Also as i said it will take him a while to adapt to the game, lifestyle, training etc. In no way am i faulting his ability to deliver! what i was writing was positive in a critical way?

You make a fair point, I was just responding to the ' another wayward aboriginal' comment.

I do agree though to some extent, he does go missing a bit at certain points throughout the game. Having said that, I think that probably stems not only from his lack of experience at AFL level, but also the fact he was playing in the forward line for a club on the bottom of the ladder.

Of course he is not going to take the AFL by storm and he is not a hack or Jack Watts. Thread and poll is troll. Try harder next time OP. Too much pressure on Jurrah from Melbourne and the media will be hard on the youngster.

I quite like Jurrah. It seems that some of you think he's shit. I can tell you he would beat you hands down in a marking contest.

Only if he could take speccies; if it was marks up in a pack with no run up, then no.

I reckon everybody could beat you hands down at goal umpiring though ;)

As for the poll - I assume Jack Watts represented the middle ground; big talent but probably will end up being a mediocre player.
