I dont know what is wrong wth him, but his body language isn't the same as what it was at the start of the season. For probably the last 6 or so weeks it seems as though he is lacking in confidence.

* He will not go in and get the hard ball. He just hangs out the back and waits for the easy kick. Why is he so scared?
* When he gets beaten he put his head down.
* He is missing goals that he would normally kick.

I dont know what is wrong with him but at the moment i cant see anything that Jurrah has done to warrant himself getting automatic selection week in, week out when there are other players playing in the seconds, who are playing better.

Is it time for him to spend some time in the magoo's to get his spark back, do we persist and hope he gets his confidence back in the seniors or is it because Bailey is playing him as a key Forward, when his not?

Opinions.

There was an instance in the last quarter where McKenzie had the ball 70 out in the centre square and kicked long. Was Jurrah in the forward line where he is dangerous for a mark or crumb? No, he was standing behind McKenzie asking for a little cheapy so that he could deliver the exact same kick.

I wouldn't drop him yet.

I'd freshen him up with a change of position. Get him running the lines through the middle or wings. Or even play him across half back.

Make him run hard and force him inside the contest a little.

Give him a spell in the ruck.

Seriously though, I reckon due to our lack of crumbing forwards that the coaches have instructed Liam to play that role, which is hurting his natural game.

Quoted for lulz. Brilliant post.

Playing injured is an excuse for his form, but why would the club be playing an injured player who's doing shit all and is out of form. I'd imagine Maric is keen for a spot.

Jack, that is gold.

But seriously, according to Doc Larkins, Jurrah's got an achilles/ankle injury that's been limiting him for the past six weeks.

Then why is he playing if he's not 100%.
He is taking up a spot that he doesn't deserve and that another player who is fully fit and pushing to get into the side can't have.

He's still kicking goals, I think that's what Bailey's seeing in him.

Definitely taking up Maric's spot. We don't have a small forward at the moment and the forwards we do have are too tall (Jamar, Green, Petterd, Watts, Martin, Jurrah, Sylvia etc.)

I wonder how much affect the absence of Wonna has on him. Not just because of his playing role but his personal relationship with him, being good friends and house mates....

Decent suggestion, but can't see it myself.

He wasn't exactly a defensive forward last year either. It's just something he has to add to his game.

I've been told that the last month or so has been quite stressful for Liam. Supposedly there has been quite a bit if unrest in his home town between different families.

As he is an elder, I'm guessing he is carrying the demands of both worlds. Probably the reason you can't just drop the bloke, he has some personal issues and the club needs to support him. Coupled with Austin taking time out, I'm sure this is a challenging time. Jurrah is a gun, we are far more dangerous when he is in our side. He'll find his feet.
