Yeah, professional AFL player vs your girlfriend.

Same thing.

I think the rehab would be pretty much the same, regardless of what you do or if you are male or female. A broken ankle is a broken ankle. He'll just have more help to get him through it. Pretty useless post by you.

DAMNIT. My girlfriend broke her right ankle a month ago so I know exactly what he's about to go through. That sucks! Probably the best time to do it though, coming into the end of the season. Means he'll be right for a full preseason next year, barring any setbacks (god forbid).

Best of luck in your recovery, Liam.

Basically what you're saying is Bean there, done that. ;)

Hope he makes a full recovery and can start next year ready to go!

Hopefully just a minor fracture or something that will heal without too much fuss

Hope your spot on Tm, ankles can be very troublesome. Hope it's a crack, clean with no movement. And no ligament/tendon damage (or minimal). So he can be ready for preseason. From what I was hearing of the game, Boxhill were double teaming him. Exactly what would happen at afl if was having a cracking game. But maybe not if he was no 2/3 forward. All the best for a speedy, strong recovery Leam. Go TIGES

guys, how did he brake his ankle?

Because i filled in holes on Coburgs ground last week and i feel kind of guilty
Whats your address,We'll send Kingy around with some friendly advice.:D

Shattered.

Chocco was talking him up a couple months ago and a possibly debut saying MC are considering him and this was when he was kicking his 2&3's and not the last few weeks when he was kicking bags. I have no doubt they would've considered him for the Brisbane and Carlton games but probably decided to hold him out for GWS. Would've been shocked if he didn't make his debut this week so what a cruel twist of fate.

I don't know much about broken ankles so maybe someone can inform me but I hope this doesn't cause any possibly long term issues and he can come back bigger and stronger. The competition survives another 12 moths before McBean domination. Lucky for them.

I broke mine late December and I'm still struggling to get back to normal:(
Though being in a AFL environment he will have a lot better recovery resources and monitoring then I have gotten.
