That's what Boyd is for. Boyd also struggles against blokes like Harvey

Not having a go at Picken but there aren't too many blokes with Harveys size that need tagging.

A much bigger stronger opponent will break the tag of Picken..

I did like his pick up, spin and handball.. Looks like his trademark move.

What a great debut. Kept Harvey very quiet. He may be 22 but yesterday he showd his worth. Great tackle on Harvey when the game was up for grabs. Very good talent and good solid pick up.

What about Libba. Much shorter than Liam and ended his career as one off the best taggers. I would not expect him to have a good match up every week. The likes off deledio who are tall and a good over head mark would quickly switch to full forward. However could end up on most midfielders. The thing I like is he can keep up with them. Nothing against Boyd but pace is one thing you can't train for. Anyway free's Boyd up for more attacking roles. Who knows may end up giving us a Ling type off midfielder.

Picken isnt a midget. Tagging is more about concentration than anything else. Look at Baker of st kilda - he is pretty small, but he tags em all.

I hear you but i just feel he has a small frame still.
Don't get me wrong i loved watching that little rat get shut down.

Was really impressed by his debut today. Came in and shut down the guy who has killed us in all our past matches against North Melbourne. Job well done i say. Hopefully now he can become a consistently good tagger at the club.

That is not quite right, you've got it the wrong way around.

Willi have said they will pay $20K to any team who rookies a Willi player.

This is not correct.

Williamstown will contribute to the cost of one WB rookie. The player can be from any team in any competition. Obviously as a rookie it is likely that the player will play mostly for Willy thus strengthening their team. WB were not likely to have the funds to afford this rookie from their own piggy bank. So it's a win-win.

It is my understanding that Williamstown have committed no other funding for any other team or rookie scenario.

His next three weeks will be a great test for the kid if he can hold his spot. Foley, Kerr then Judd.

I think he might get Kerr

But I think him and Addision will get a run with role on Delidio

If he can run with Judd ......HOORAY

But I think that will more likely be Cross.

His motor is meant to be as good as Crossy's. What a big first month for the kid if it works out.

Yeah but I think we need to protect these kids learning curves a bit.

In the past when we were on the bottom we tended to throw a few kids in at the deep end, and I think burnt a few out early by doing so.

Including a recent mate of ours in another thread "Jordy"

And a bloke we will play against next Monday "Nathan" (who was getting tracked very similiarly to Shaun Higgins except X 2 in my humble opinion)

I also think we burnt some guy's like Mark Alvey and even Dimma by pushing to hard.
