Seems they could only keep the “Police are investigating” line for so long. Seems like a bit more than a breach of team rules regarding alcohol as reported. Not like WCE to cover anything up.

Who cares - I have never understood this need for a player to be punished twice.

It’s a court matter and that should be the end of it.

They suspended him for two weeks for the incident a while ago. Do you think it should of been "Two weeks, Plus the grand final if we make it"
No, but he refused a breath test and the club said they punished him for breaching team rules. It’s been widely reported since that it was a mental health issue. He was pissed and crashed his car into a tree at 5am.

Everyone knew it was an over .08 without them having to explicitly say it, it's going to happen to a 21 year old once in a while. Not sure if he was at a wake or something

"Obviously he breached our code of conduct with our players trademark," Simpson told Fox Footy.

"He was out too late and he was drinking, so we have to respect that he's broken those codes of conduct, so he won't play again this week."

What a cover up! :D

Simpson suggesting he'd been out late and drinking before crashing into a tree. Only for it to be discovered that he'd been out late drinking and crashed into a tree.

No Adam, he broke the law.

Considering the media in this town recently hounded a guy to death every time he farted despite no longer being in the AFL system it smacks of double standards that it hasn’t come up since. You think two weeks is suitable punishment?

The eagles tried to play it down and say he was having mental issues and struggling to adapt to AFL demands. I didn’t realize not getting pissed and driving was an AFL demand. Just thought it was part off being a responsible member of society.

I highly doubt our coach was going to come out in the media and say he broke the law 3 months before he's even been to court

Lol - is he going to dispute the result of a blood test? Maybe on cultural grounds it won’t stand up in court. 2 weeks in the WAFL seems unders for leaving scene of accident & refusing breath test when he was supposed to be “at work” in 3 hours.

Hang on... Wait up there..
Someone farted in Adelaide?
I missed this news.
Surprised it wasnt world news and the Queen didnt give an address from her balcony about this monumental calamity.

I know that 2 weeks seems unders as a ban for setting up a troll account and acting like a campaigner

I thought he refused a blood test because he was a haemophiliac.

I think it was common knowledge....

When he hit his car to a tree what did you think caused it?

Just because I support Adelaide doesn’t mean I live there.

Mental health issues and alcohol issues are often related.

The issue has been in the news multiple times since then, including in the lead up to the finals. You know this I'm sure.

Not sure what your issue is, aside from seemingly being disappointed that Ryan hasn't been hounded into retirement or worse. But it seems a bit unsavory.

They banned him for 2 weeks due to mental health now? No they banned him for being out at 5.30am for driving into a tree.

Fine me an article which said he drive his car into a tree because "He had mental health issues"

None, Artices mentioned he was dealing with shit, nowhere did the eagles blame it, or cover it up saying He has mental health issues. He got a 2 weeks suspension, Which is more then what my club did when Hodge got caught over 0.05

Copped his two weeks suspension from his club for breaking team rules, Will probably cop it from the law, I dont know what else you want? More punishment because you only found out he was going to court over it?

You can sleep at night knowing the eagles also put him under double secret probation
