Great work from McCartney. I wonder how many re-signings they have up their sleeve but hold off announcing until after there is some bad news / bad loss etc. Seems every time there is something negative, the club quickly follows with a positive story.

Was McCartney in charge when Ward left? We seem to have learnt greatly from this

Nah he wasn't, didn't even have a full time list manager. Think Fantasia was doing some of the work.

Fantasia was in charge of contracts then.

Great re-signing. Libba's the 13th best player in the league according to Official AFL Player Ratings (a good system if you understand how it works) so he's still underrated by much of the media. Looking forward to his return.
