Yes I've heard this too. But the LARs operations over the last few years have survived well, and I'm assuming the technology is getting better and better. With 10 years left in libbas career, at what point do you say we'll gamble on 2-3 3 month lars, as opposed to losing an entire season at his prime, with no guarantee of a better result?The difference is that a traditional reco requires an incident like Libba's for the ACL to rupture again, while LARS grafts are almost guaranteed to fail at some point. You don't know when that failure will be; it could happen at any time. I'd rather Libba take the year off than come back in a few months then have the LARS fail when we're contending in finals or something.
Anyway not that my whinging will change anything. It just annoys me that our doctors stick with same old same old. We know what happened with cooney.
