Just reading up on Joel Selwood's rapid ascent to 100 games, does anyone know how Deledio stacks up in terms of experience at his relatively young age?

From memory he played Rd 1 in his debut year, I can't remember him ever being dropped on form, or missing any games due to injury apart from the few when he broke his hand.

he'd have to be going nicely towards a huge career games total right?

Lids is only 1 year older but played 36 more games, but Selwood has played about 12 finals. So Lids seems about 2 seasons ahead but only 1 year older. Lids will play plenty of finals

Lids is bullet proof...
Has played 135 out of a possible 139 games to date in his career, the last 78 in succession.
Only just turned 24 years old... will play well over 300 games for the Yellow & Black.

Legend. :thumbsu:

MadTug is right, Selwood having played so many finals has seen him get there a bit quicker than Lids. I wouldn't mind betting Lids gets to 200 a tad quicker than Selwood though ;)

Thomas was clearly BOG. Selwood was great, but Thomas was ****ing immense.
That's the great thing about footy.I disagree. Selwood was massive. Thomas good for sure though.

Incredible to think that in Selwood's first 100 games, he has played in 85 wins.
Whereas, Deledio's first 100 games, he would be lucky to have won 30-40 of them...

iirc lids was the youngest player in his draft and only made the draft age by 4 days. Some others were nearly 18 months older.
