if All Australian team picked right now, both should be picked.
Lids should be picked as a half back, his form has been unbelievable. He has been a consistent player in the past two years winning two b&F and this year he has gone beyond previous years performances.
If Harry O or Heath Shaw get a gurnsey before him would be a disgrace!
Jack- how good has he been, fourth in the goal kicking, he has laid most tackles in the league as a forward.
Only think that will go against Jack is that his previous years havent been great.

Yeah but there are probably only 3 spots for big forwards...and they won't give it to a bottom side I don't think.

given that everyone outside of richmond thinks jack is a midget he probably wouldnt be competing with the big forwards but the flankers like okeefe. if he gets his 60 goals and is considered a flanker he probably has a good chance.

yeah that's what i don't understand, people are saying he's too short to be a KPP and will never amount to anything that his cousin has become. yet..they are the same height, nick riewolt is just 4 or 5 kilos heavier

Lids is clearly playing the best footy of his career, **** is he talented...I love seeing the ball in his mits, you know he wont get caught and he generally can pass onto a dime...Great move going to a HBF has given his game a bit of purpose rather than wonder aimlessly in the mid picking up cheapies...Can't wait for Connors to join him across HB...will be awesome..two very creative players with good legs on them...

On JR, has always had the talent, now piecing it all together, I have a feeling he is the heart and soul of this young group and is really flourishing as he realises the impact he can make on a game, is great to watch

I've noticed the past month that Jack loves the spotlight and plays with so much passion. Seems like he is enjoying the extra responsibility especially now that we don't have Richo in the forward line.

Is anyone else really concerned about Jack booting off? Apparently Gold Coast are thrilled with their signings and can't wait to shock us when they announce them. We dunno if this is crap or not, but who apart from the usuals (Ablett, Krakouer, Boak, Brown, Harbrow) is left unsigned? Jack's form has been tantalising last few weeks, GC would be stupid not to have talked to him. In fact I really can't believe that they haven't/won't soon. Let's really get this one just sewn up before it becomes an issue.

i think after the last month we are all 100% sure he is going to stay a tiger for life.

Why, because he's playing well? So's Ablett, Harbrow, Brown etc. I know people from back home are in his ear quite a bit about getting out of the Tiges. I just really hope he himself is enjoying it.

Have a look at him while we where singing the song. look what he does when we kick crucial goals. He gets so excited. Would be hard seeing him leave us.

He likes winning, he likes kicking goals. So do all footballers. He probably likes the club, maybe even loves it. Doesn't mean he's not heading for greener pastures. Just because a player leaves doesn't mean they have no passion for their current club.

Jack wont be going anywhere, he led that song and was singing it louder than anyone else.

Jack is the onfield leader and Cotchin will be the off field leader and captain when Newman steps down.

as stated, Jack, Martin, Cotchin and Deledio are/going to be our A level players.

need to add another 3 or 4 players at that level to set our club up for the long term.

Both players have been impressive this year, but probably not All Australian worth just yet. They have been good this season though, would like to see both players be selected for the AA team at the end of the year. But, jack would have to kick 70+ goals you would think to get a gig in the team.

We're sitting last at 1-9, with % of 50 and a win over a bunch of inconsistent hacks. No chance.

At this rate they might sneak into Sheahan's top 50 players with a "shining lights in a developing side" tag at best.

Things looking more positive, but that's it at this stage.

Geez, on current form, you think they'd be close. Harry O would definately be AA. Had a solid year, but i would reckon Lids may be shading Shaw at the mo. Jack would be borderline. I'm actually curious to see if Mike fits any tigers into his top 50 mid year review.

Inconsistent hacks?

They are young kids playing a man's game.

There are many players who have shown they are not hacks this year. Statistically yes we are bad, but the team didn't change much from 2008-2009 when we finished 9th one year and 15th the next. What did change was that the oldies were getting older and the younglings were losing their confidence.

This same team is building confidence, they are getting games into the kids and it would not surprise me if by next year we finish from 9-12th.

Jack should make the team for sure.
It's only 12 rounds in, 10 rounds to go, he could not kick a goal for the rest of the year, highly doubt it but anything could happen.

But, at this current form, if he continues it, he should be up there for a spot in the side.

The case of Jack & Lids making all Australian gets stronger each week. I will throw up if Harry O makes it before lids. Lets not get caught up in the Pie hype. Opposition sides go through Harry O opponent and he gets caught out.
Davey and Lids off half back and at this stage Jack could pick his spot in the forward line.
