Life after Nieta...

Miller is 2 undisiplined atm to be captain.

He could do a Jonothan Brown/Barry Hall and turn it all around but right now, Moloney would be a better option.

He constantly tells the players where to go during stopages and he stands up in the tough games and is only 21.

He won't be captain next year and my bet would be on Green or Bruce getting the job ahead of him but he does look the goods imo.

If Neitz goes another 2 years at the helm, then there is no point using Yze as a stop gap in 2008. I wouldn't actually give it to him at all, for any reason.
I meant if Neitz couldn't stay fit for two years. If we had to have a one year fill in captain we would have to give it to one of veterans White, Yze umm Holland.. just kidding.

Why is everyone on a huge fat over bleeding Moloney? So he can play footy. So what?

I don't see a leader in him at all. Okay we can be all *YAYZ!* over his first season at the club, but get your hands off it, he's not captaincy material.

I suppose he shows that physical prescence on the field, being very very committed to the club. Yeah it's very early days for the likes of Beema, but you can see the early signs of leadership in him, as well as Miller and from other clubs, the likes of Giansiracusa, Andrew Welsh, Luke Hodge or even as young as Deledio. I wouldn't mind seeing Beema at the helm, he'll never leave and he seems 100% loyal to the club he loves most

I actually see a fair bit of leadship in him. He gets around to all the boys pregame, conducts himself in a very good way off the field, at stopages he is positioning the players constantly, along with Johnstone. He has a never say die attitude that was highlighted in his game vs the cats, our best player by a mile (though carroll has a fair argument)

It is still a fair way off though for him, Miller, McLean and Sylvia but I wouldn't be surprised if we see one of those 4 captain the dees at some stage.

Disagree.

In his first year at a new club, he was seen yelling and pumping the boys up in huddles. In his first year at a new club, he was seen training the house down. In his first year at a new club, he was seen throwing himself at the ball (and the men), and going hard.

He is leadership material because he is tough, uncompromising, he loves the club and he is very vocal (also not bad for image reasons, unlike perhaps a Travis Johnstone). He is clearly too young, and has only been at Melbourne for like 10 minutes... but in time, he will be a leader.

Beamer for PM! :D

Ironically, when we picked him up last year one of my mates who follows Geelong said to me he had leadership quality. I knew Moloney would be good (Not this good and to think he's 21 :D ) but when he told me that I laughed at him.
Either him or Miller as captain. Miller probably has a bit more developing to do (As does Moloney) but both would make a very good captain.
