Is 150 games the norm for life membership at other AFL clubs?
I can't comment for every club but a quick Google search revealed the criteria for St Kilda and Hawthorn: 150 games OR 10 years service. So it would appear we are on par with other clubs in this regard.

In case anyone is wondering, here is a list of our players that sit between 100-150 games and could be in line for life membership over the next few years:

Tom Lynch - 131 games
Michael Rischitelli - 120 games
Steven May - 119 games
David Swallow - 113 games
Sam Day - 110 games
Aaron Hall - 103 games
Rory Thompson - 102 games

How great is it that the first three life members of our club are all Queenslanders!

John Witheriff is a born and bred Gold Coaster who has been one of the biggest mover and shaker in the city's history over the last few decades. Bob Gordon is a retired journalist who grew up in Brisbane and spent lots of time all over the country but relocated permanently to the GC in the 90s. Both Witheriff and Gordon are GPS boys who attended Nudgee College in Brisbane. Then we have Cairns born and raised Jarrod Harbrow, who we all love for his commitment to the club and indigenous affairs.

Anyone want to guess who might be the next player to reach life membership? Rischa has played 125 games for us but I doubt he'll end up playing an extra 25 AFL games before he retires. Swallow has played 117 AFL games for us and is probably the most likely to reach life membership before anyone else. Beyond that, you start to get into injury prone guys like Sam Day and Rory Thompson who have played a little over 100 AFL games for us.

Geez that list thinned out quickly.
