Life without the Ox

This weekend we get a glimpse into our future, is the Ox holding us back or holding us together. It will be interesting to see how we cope without his presence.

Who will play at Centre Half Forward?
Jolly?
Bruce?
Wheatley?
Robbo???

Hopefully Wheatley will be back in this week & we will be all the stronger for that. He'd replace Ox.

What other changes will we make? Perhaps not too many as we finished the game well on Fri night. McDonald could come in, maybe for Broadbridge.

Godfrey? Miller?

Nathan Brown was on crutches on Dee TV but he reckons it's only a precaution.

Thoughts?

It is an interesting one, I must say. As much as I would like to rabble on about Jolly, I won't.....much!

I would like to see us try a few things. Wheatley in is a big YES, as I rate him quite highly. He can play both ends and has a thumping kick. I would like to see them play him at CHF.

Bruce MAY get that spot, although it's hard to say. He may well get a tagging role, or even a job across half back. Like Wheatley, he is a "utility" so to speak, and could end up anywhere on game day.

Jolly may start at CHF. No, I am not being biased, as Daniher has said that Jolly will get more game time, and with Ox missing this week, he can only get more. I am suggesting he may well start there and if things don't go well, look for a change.

Then there is our captain, Mr. Neitz. I would LOVE to see him out at CHF. He will have confidence from last week, and what we really need is someone marking the ball for us around the 50-60 meter mark and then hiting someone inside 50.

So, here is what we should do....Neitz out to CHF with Robbo as marking support and someone as a crumber (resting midfielder??). Vardy and Green used out of the square, both leading out in opposite directions. We can then go from there. I am praying we don't start how he did last week with our forward line. While it was nice to see Daniher try something different, it totally sucked! Don't do it this week Daniher!

It'll be a start if we don't crown our own forward line like last week. I dunno about Neeta at CHF, he can play there but I feel it's his 3rd best position after FF & CHB. I do like Vardy out of the square & Green (if he's not dropped!). They both need space to lead & can crumb the ball on the odd occasion Jolly is spoiled .

You do have a point with Neita, although we may as well stick him out there to see how he goes. It's just about a loss already going up there, so why not try something different??

Jolly always get's spoiled - being the team man that he is, he let's the crumbers kick the goals and take the accolades.

yeah browny was on crutches all day tuesday and well obviously since the game on friday, but he trainined freely this afternoon.

not too sure what should happen with moving the players around too much, im just hoping wheatly comes back soon, he's been quite good this season (from what he's played) and i think this could be a good chance to really step up.

i just think voss will be a late withdrawal as he's back too soon from injury, and wheatley definatly deserves his go in the seniors after a good display at sandy last w'e.

but now its back to 50 or so

um...coz i didn't get a good report. actually i got a pretty good report - i past everything very easily with good grades, but because not everything was an A or A+ (my mum has bloody hight expectations of me ) she reckons i dont put any effort into school. its kinda true tho... i dont really care too much, but without trying at all (not studying or doing my home work) im still doing quite well! yeah so anyways, she said that until i get my grades back up to A's, im banned from the net on weekdays I'LL MISS YOU GUYS!!!
