NOT IMPRESSED is the main focus of this.
Yesterday was insipid and a disgrace. A waste of a day, We were TOTALLY outcoached (which I let him know about at the end of the game), totally outplayed by a more committed side. As far as I am concerned there and too many passengers and not enough contributers in our side.
Jeff White is totally overrated. Pathetic yesterday.
Midfield, are you alive?
No wonder most teams consider Melbourne weak, that is what we are:mad:
Surely if performances like this continue, his postion has to come under scrutiny.

Daniher cannot coach against Sheedy, that is clear, we were convincingly outcoached, so much so it was embarrassing.
Saying White was pathetic is on overstatement, he broke even in the ruck (though he should have killed Essendon's ruck division) and had quite a bit of it around the ground.
We had plenty of the ball, and went inside 50 as often if not more often than the Dons, but the delivery wasn't there, and the way we were going inside 50 was shocking.

White is soft. He backs out of too many one on ones and won't mark unless he's on his own or can take it 2 metres above his opponents head. If there's any contact involved he won't be there. His work at the throw-ins (when he gets to them) is poor and he can't kick a goal to save himself. He's one of the most skillful ruckman going around and his centre bounce work is usually great, but his game is just too timid. No will or agression.

If we had've kept Simmonds, I'd be using him as trade bait for a Chris Judd or even Lance Whitnall if he has a poor year.

Dude, ease up!
We were attrocious, but it's only one game of footy!

Jeff White is not overrated, and he was far from pathetic on Saturday.

As far as I could see, our main problem was coping with the flood of Bomber defenders. Instead of picking out a short option or kicking long to the square, we were trying to pick out Neitz from 50m away, giving ample time for defenders to swarm him.

This week will be a different story, the dogs lack a decent defender. Croft is back, but he's not that great and Neitz towelled up the Doggies defence last year (kicked 7 from memory).

We are 1-1. The season is not lost yet, and I guaruntee you that those lacklustre performances (like saturday) will not be frequent this year (like previous years).

Sorry to remind you guys, and I know I sound a bit arrogant, but I told you 2 yrs ago he's a crap coach and Melb. should not have signed him for another 4 years IMO, and especially seeing at the end of last year there were about 4 good coaches available: Wallace, Pagan, Eade and someone else...can't think at the moment.

Taken us to a GF, a prelim, and a SF in 5 years.... **** coach?
Take a look at Malthouse... only thing he's done is a GF in his 4 years there....
WOOP DE DOO!

ND has done a great job developing our recruits. Rigoni,Nicholson,Robertson,Bruce,Green,Whelan & Walsh are just some of the guys who've blossomed under his leadership.

Wheather or not the club can thake the next step with him at the helm or not, we'll have to wait & see. I think he's on track but that next step is huge.
