Huge 3-1 win by Nice over PSG to give Monaco a 3 point lead at the top with a game in hand over PSG. Would take a prettt bad choke from here not to win it.

Monaco can win Ligue 1 this morning if they beat Lille at home, or at least get a draw, they need St Etienne to do a number on PSG however if they draw.
What is in Monaco's favour is Monaco has a 3 point lead on PSG, way better GD and a game in hand. Monaco (86pts) has played 35 games, PSG (83pts) 36. Do or die arguably for PSG.
St Etienne (7th) need to win to have any slim chance of qualifying for Europa League also, they're 8 points behind Marseille in 5th, but have a game in hand.
Should be interesting.

PSG annihilated St Etienne yesterday, however, Monaco comfortably defeated Lille also.
Monaco have all but won the title now, they only need a point from their last 2 games, PSG only have 1 match to come.

Great to see someone unexpected win one of the Big 5 European leagues. Monaco have been outstanding in the league since early in the season and well and truly deserved the title.
Extremely disappointing season for Saint-Étienne. No European football is very disappointing, especially considering they were well enough placed to secure it halfway through the season. Will be interesting to see how the club goes in the post-Galtier era.

It's official, for the first time since 2000, the French league is not won by a French team. (Some say if the Catalans gain independence, this will be the norm.)
Anyway, well done Monaco, really showed it up. Hopefully they can hold onto their best players and make this French League a little more interesting. Joey Barton would approve.

amiens will play ligue 1 next season for the first time in their history. 95th minute winner to do it too. not some newish club too, been around since 1901. it's the club ben khalfallah started at.
