Liked: Backing up after Perth trip
Learnt: Bombers have some great young talent.
Disliked: Umps again are woeful across the board.
These guys need to be professional. FFA have em so do the NRL how come the biggest comp in the land doesnt.

Liked: Gutsy GWS win away was really impressive, and Josh Kelly is fast becoming one of the best midfielders going around.
Learnt: Geelong and Port at home are different teams, both capable of beating around on their home deck.
Hated: A pissweak first half effort from Hawthorn, I expected more.

All's that I have learnt after this weekend of footy is that the Crows are not a genuine contender anymore.. this was their chance to prove they can mix it with the big boys and in big games and we failed.
way too soft and don't have the game plan or personnel to be a genuine flag contender.. will be very lucky to make the top from here.. another semi final exit looks likely come September.

Learnt - Geelong building their new stand and hopefully allowing them more home finals could pay for itself in premiership cups!

Liked: some heart and fight from the Suns.
As for their Hawthorn win though the club that
will be our long term rivals continues to follow in little brothers footsteps.
Learnt: Essendon are a good side. We played very well on Saturday I thought, and it was a struggle.
Hated: Knocked back the club offer of booze and canapes at a function room because I expected it to crowded and full of hobnobbers. Actually walked past a mostly empty room, warm with a good view several times through the night.

Jack Gunston needs a shake up.
Also, the Eagles are terrible and Jack Darling isn't cutting the mustard.
Adelaide is flaky and has several front-runners.

Liked : Best win of the year by the Cats, started well and took control, that's three in a row against top teams. I cannot understand how they manage to lose to teams well below them? It's definitely a trait.

Learnt that we really are a one dimensional forward line. Kennedy is a huge loss and we rely too heavily on him. Reminds me a lot of Carlton/Brisbane's forward line in the late noughties where they would always look for Fev & Brown.
No idea what happened to Darling. I miss the 2011-2015 Darling. His last couple of seasons have been terrible. Mental demons from that GF like a lot of our players.

Learned: Conor McKenna will be the next Irishman to make it at the level and become a very good player for us.
