Pfft, I know he is your boy but Scharenberg will have to find something to be in our defensive 7 at the start of next year. Coaches saw how he was exposed today and they will remember it. Might have to be a midfielder.

I would not give up our first round pick unless we are going to get the beat key forward, key back or half back flanker with pace and skill.

Aish needs a rocket. I feel Broomy might be turning a corner...cox is building nicely.

We have a severe deficiency in polish and smarts going into 50, that's our big weakness.

Agree. Scharenberg is yet to cement his position.
That's a truism that only he can alter. I'm confident he will do so.

In many ways my listed side is a throw to what could happen in further development.

    I cheekily threw in Sier.

But at this time, I'm clinging on to Scharenberg because as you say, he's my boy :)

(But if I had to drop him to guarantee a win, it's Matt who Berger)

Brayden Maynard solidified his role as a mid/fwd. Pendlebury to add calmness and meaningful rebound, it's time for him to make way and let the next generation get midfield time. They went fine without him too.

Good side. My only query is on Fasolo. I like him, but he just doesn't have the footspeed to put pressure on as a smaller fwd. I really hope he proves me wrong, but I just don't see us clicking with him in the side. Need a tyrannical super quick small forward.

Fair enough. Who would you replace him with? Maybe Daicos or Kirby?

Not sure whether Phillips fits in tbh. But for now he does. Gets the pill a lot just needs to tidy things up.
Daicos into the backline to become the killer of opposition small forwards.
Will Reid be traded to Sydney to be with his brother? If not he gets a gig somewhere in that 22....maybe. Form's been poor this year I thought.
Fasolo traded back to Perth. Get him home and happy.

Just opinions, so don't come at me hard.

Kirby for now, but I am hoping we can snag another lightning quick small forward type over the off-season. Not sure Daicos is quick enough.
Richmond have three super quick small forwards and it has helped enormously with their lack of talented forwards apart from Riewoldt. Those small forwards don't even need to lay heaps of tackles they just need to be able to pressure and put doubt into opposition defenders. We really only have Elliot who can do that. It will reduce the number of end to end goals because the clarity of ball movement we have seen by opponents this year will be disrupted if we had, say, a Rioli with Elliot.

Will tend to play an extra behind the ball, think it be a great chance for Pendles to play as a Hodge, McVeigh, Goddard type role as a spare mid behind the ball who sets us up

    B - Sinclair, Reid, Langdon
    Pendles
    HB - Howe, Goldsack, Daicos

Play Maynard and DeGoey through the middle, two big bulls. Silk from WHE and Wells on the outside.

    C - WHE, Adams, Wells
    Foll - Grundy, DeGoey, Maynard

Sidey play more of a high half forward role, great crumbed and tank so should be great there. Fas n Kirby competing for a spot.

    Sidey, Moore, Elliott
    Fas/Kirby and Cox

    Bench
    Treloar, Phillips, Greenwood and Crisp

How about Brandon Matera from Gold Coast could he play that role and how much would he cost in a trade?

I too am a fan of Pendles playing off half back now with less time in the midfield, adds class and stability to our back half. Time for De Goey,Treloar,Adams,Sidebottom,Maynard to take the lead in our midfield.

    B: Sharenberg Dunn Crisp
    HB: Howe Lever Pendlebury
    C:Maynard Treloar Wells
    HF:Sidebottom Moore WHE
    F: Elliot Reid Fasolo

Not gonna bother speculate on signings and trades just from what we currently have.

    B: Howe, Dunn, Langdon
    HB : Crisp, Reid, Varcoe
    C: Hoskin-Elliott, DeGoey, Treloar
    HF : Wells, Moore, Sidebottom
    F : Fasolo, Cox, Elliott
    FOLL : Grundy, Adams, Pendlebury
    INTER: Scharenberg, Daicos, Maynard, Phillips

    Emergency: Goldsack, Thomas, Brown

    Notes:
    - Cox and Grundy split time between ruck and forward seemed to work, keep doing it.
    - Try Aish as small defender in the VFL, hopefully works out for him
    - Try to get rid of all the spuds like Blair, Mayne, Greenwood, Oxley, Smith, Keeffe, Schade, Crocker
    - Keep changing my mind on Sinclair, need his type badly but he is ALWAYS injured.

    Targets:
    Small defender
    Key forward
    Key back

    Draft Brander please.
