Eagles fans seem pretty obnoxious. The boooing is so far beyond what’s normal it’s embarrassing. The armchair ride they get at home should also be the subject of a Royal Commission. Plus their druggo culture is disgusting. Looking forward to your replies

You are right but that is easy to say as in Victoria their state league clubs went on to become national clubs in a national comp. Go back to before the Eagles and we all supported a different club just like in Victoria. The game went national and none of our clubs were invited and to thank the Vics for not inviting us we put in a combined Franchise, hence the whole state supported them. Bit like most of Victoria support the Melbourne storm.

Having never lived in WA I don’t have the passionate hate of others.
Since joining BF it’s probably grown with the eagles BF crew carry on.
I get the same satisfaction beating Port cats blues and tigers as I do beating eagles.

Sounds like you lack self confidence. Or you met some rich, old Eagles supporters who think they are better than everyone, not just you. PS every club has them btw.
My dislike of Freo grew during the period they started sniping and punching on because they werent winning and they decided to stop playing the ball and went the man.
Hayden Ballantyne came along.

The current team seems to be heading the right direction though, focusing on football. Will be better after Walters and Fyfe retire.
As for their supporters some are decent however so many have a chip on their shoulder about the Eagles they seem obsessed with anything negative about them. A bad news story about the Eagles they celebrate more than winning games. Beating the Eagles is the highlight of the season.
I couldn't care less about the Eagles, I don't follow them, and if there's a story about them on social media then I skip over. Honestly, they're just another team, and unfortunately as a result the derby just isn't really all that spicy. If they're a good team at the time, it's great that Freo defeat a good opponent (if they can lol, it's looking more promising recently). I cannot emphasise enough that as an organisation I respect West Coast, I go to Laika regularly and quite like their MinRes setup.
But? Freo post (from WA based outlet) without fail will have a few Eagles fans laugh reacting, or bringing up their premierships, saying Freo should get kicked out of the comp, or the fun one - that Brayshaw has a glass jaw and we should all feel bad for Gaff. Or on Reddit AFL, where routinely you get West Coast supporters who have Cats/Richmond-like arrogance constantly, yet disappearing the moment last year kicked off - notably there that behaviour is not tolerated because of the downvote system so go figure.
I unlike many actually think West Coast are within a shot of making the 8 next year. West Coast the team, full of guns and good blokes judging on the interview from BackChat Podcast. The fans? Your team will always have more premierships, you are successful and last year will be a blip, but you'll find a way to flex, make it about your flags, and drop a negative line about Freo even if they win??.
Lack of self-confidence, what an unbelievably floggy thing to say - my confidence is just fine. I have absolutely no need to chest beat about my sporting team's achievements to opposition fans - maybe because we haven't had any. But listening to how West Coast fans go about it when they're up and about, I do vow to be better if we do ever win a flag.
However I will say - since I last posted the post you're replying to, I do recall something Mark Duffield said on his podcast - Fremantle supporters are not better than West Coast fans, each fanbase has their unsavoury types, West Coast just has more because they're bigger. Just wish I didn't need to have the club support attacked by West Coast fans every time I try to read one positive story about Freo - like seriously why do they care so much?
I want the Dockers to do well, and would rather them win one or two premierships before Geelong and the Hawks (4 and 7 flags since Eagles debut in 1987) …but not encroach or definitely overtake the Eagles 4 premierships or come close as time goes on.
Eagles people barracking for Hawthorn in 2013 got put in the peanut basket for me.
A strong dockers probably helps the Eagles if we are both in the finals, tiring teams out with the flying, adding to the House of Pain cauldron fear etc

I live in Perth and before moving here in 1998 i quite liked the WCE ,but their fans on the whole are arrogant .
I now much prefer the Dockers ,years ago i stopped watching local news and buying the west coast australian paper and the sunday wc news.
Anyway good luck to Freo and its fans in the future and the baying boo folks hope you enjoy more pain like last year .

My dislike for Freo came in their second year - I was keen on giving them a go so i rocked up to a game at Subi with a ticket in the old standing area, remember the concrete steps with the bars to lean on?? I got there for the WAFL curtain raiser (happened often in them days) so i was well and truly entrenched when the people started flooding in for the AFL game. Pretty much as soon as the game started, i was getting abuse from the tossers behind me for standing up (in a standing section) cos a couple of them had kids who couldnt see cos they were short people. I sat down, and quickly realised that wasnt going to work as i would be watching the footy through the fence, so i stood back up.
The abuse got worse and worse, my two mates buckled and sat down but i am made of sterner stuff. I kid you not, there was a literal shower of rubbish flying onto us, including a full plastic water bottle that sconed me on the head. Half way through the last quarter, a couple of cops came down to see what the hoo-ha was about. when they came up to me the who crowd behind me cheered like Freo had won the flag - they thought the cops were going to escort us out. I quickly told the cops to help me out and get them to stop chucking s**t at me which they did do. as the cops were walking back up the stand, I stood there defiantly and gave the w***er supporters both birds which they couldnt do anything about cos the cops were watching them.
best thing about the game? Freo lost.

At least you stick to your convictions haha, the incident you're talking about was when I was a whopping 5 years old.
Btw not that I would chuck stuff at people, but it's mighty annoying when you get the person in front of always standing up and blocking the view of the game, common courtesy really although Perth Stadium doesn't have a single bad seat. However, acknowledge that Subi most certainly did.
