Surprised Fergy ain't back given his versatility forward or back. Shame to see McLean out but good to see two hard nuts back in Read and Ward. Both should be hungry after missing a lot of footy. Also happy to see only a couple of changes and not wholesale changes coz I reckon we play better with a settled side.

Although we'll miss Brocky, it might be good for him to have a rest anyway.

Good to see Dutchy out, but a bit disappointed for Fergy. I dont see how Dutchy can continue to get a game (before this one) and Fergy who hasnt done anything wrong doesnt make it back into the team.

i never said he would do a good job.

he is clearly a B grade midfielder so y dont we play Bell instead who could possibly turn into an A grade midfielder/half back?

I'm happy,
finally bloody hollands out and some experience is returned through the middle of the ground. I think we've expected too much from our young midfielders(silvia, mclean, maloney) at times this year against the better teams.
How goods that centre line green, johno, bruce. with maloney and macdonald, i like the midfield with read, heff and ward coming off the bench. Still i think fergo should be in, our backline was terrible last week and there all still there. Tredrea's gonna kick 6 but we'll win anyway, shootout coming up.

i would trust rivers to not let tredrae run away. he will probably get atleast 2-3 as star power forwards do and he is definatly one of them but rivers is a good defender and he will stick right with him all the way.

Try a Z-Grade midfielder.

Agreed, Bell >>>> Hefferhack both now and in 5 years time.

I reckon Brocky needed a rest despite his injury, i'm sure he will bounce back hard.

Agree with Holland out, shocker last week.

Gread to see Ward & Read back. Read keeps up the blue collar contingent up with Brocky out & Ward can take the other small forward, which allows Brown back into the midfield where he's more dangerous.

Heff to start on P.Burgoyne
Nicho to start on Treadrea
Whelan on Wanganeen
Ward on Pickett
Wheatley on S.Burgoyne
Rivers on the resting ruckman
Macca on Francou

Walsh on Davey
Monty on Robbo
Cassisi on TJ
K.Cornes on Bruce
Kingsley on Green

Do they dare play Bish on Neeta again???

yeh, i guess u are weighing up Whelan who is probably overall the better player but is down on form against Ward who is a solid defender but coming off a long term injury and his first game in afl

pickett is the kind of guy that could win them the game even if tredrae aint overly damaging

Agree mainly, though dare I say it after last week I believe Rivers deserves first crack at Tredrea, Nicho would be much more suited to the resting ruckman (Primus or Lade) as those two would probably outmuscle Rivers more than Tredrea. Puzzled why Fergy isn't back in, considering Thurstans would most likely go forward and stretch us.

IMO start Col, TJ and Beamer/Junior in the middle. TJ is in great form and we need some hard players, maybe even Read to tag. Reading the Herald Sun this morning I actually agreed with the bit about we need to be harder, and starting Col who was our best midfielder IMO last week and Beamer/Junior/Read will give us hardness and hopefully be able to beat Port in the clearances.

Won't be surprised if Walsh carves us up either. REALLY need to win this one.

Go Dees!!!!!!!

From a Port perspective i feel as though you have most of it right.

I see these are your danger players and who i think will pick them up..

Neitz - Wakelyn (but the way chocco has been coaching dont be surprised to see bish there !)
Yze - S Burgoyne
Davey - Walsh
TJ - Cassissi
RObertson - Bishop (should be monty tho but wont be)
Bruce - K Cornes

For us Id expect the following
P BUrgoyne - Heffernan (Thank you very much - 30 + for PB)
R James - Sylvia
Pickett - Whelan
Tredrea - Nicholson
C Cornes - Miller (Matchup of the game for me )

i can see Miller gettin about 20 touches n 12 marks up on the wing of chad cornes aint careful. sure it aint as damaging as touches inside 50 but he can really set us up and if he gives it off to TJ, green or bruce in particular, they have the smarts to not just bomb it into the area where cornes is waiting as third man up

also Arsene Wenger, K Cornes would probably be better used on Johnstone has he has been in better form but bruce does need to be watched if he goes up forward.

also wat about Green if he goes up forward? who takes him?

In answer to Green goin forward id expect mont or wilson to get him ..

As for Johnstone - Im pretty confident you will see cassissi on him. Similar pace and size. K Cornes is more suite to Bruce IMO.

One thing is for certain, with Whelan, Pickett and Miller all on the same field, it could get very ugly.
