There are NO Melbourne "reserves" the left overs play for Sandringham and half of them will be in the Zebras reserves.
No **** sherlock.

Half the players are Sandringham reserves? Err... No. Perhaps a few will be, but most won't be.

The VFL have a 12/10 rule in place for next seasons finals so I think you will find that VFL will try to play more of their own listed players in the firsts next year.
In fact Pt Melb/ Nt Melb are using the 12/10 rule all season so other clubs will probabily follow suit

Sandringham did none of the sort this year and I doubt they will next year. The fact is they have always had the policy that if you are good enough you will be in the 1's and the majority of our reserves are good enough and as such play.

Of course there are always injuries so there will never be 20 Melbourne listed players playing for Sandy, but it's not out of the question for 15 odd to be in the side each week.

i do realise that their isn't a reserves team, i am not stupid. its just a theoretical look at how our reserves would look like if we weren't aligned with Sandy. i would put sandy players in there, but i've got no idea who is playing next year.

B: Whelan, Nicholson, Bizzell
HB: Broadbridge, Rivers, Yze
C: Johnstone, McDonald, Green
HF: Robertson, Miller, Heffernan
F: Holland, Neitz, Davey
Fol: White, Bruce, Brown
I/C: Jamar, McLean, Moloney, Wheatley

Not a hell of a lot different really. I can see Bell taking a spot by mid-season, possibly Ward's... Ferguson will be eyeing Nicho's spot & Smith Holland's obviously. Sylvia will be thereabouts.

B: Carroll, Ferguson, Read
HB: Bell, Dunn, Bate
C: C.Johnson, Rigoni, Hunter
HF: Williams, Smith, Sylvia
F: Warnock, Van Schiak, Newton
R: P.Johnson, Godfrey, Armstrong
I/C:

I think we have adequate depth but there are too many if's & but's over some of the kids at this stage to be confident in predicting world domination just yet...

Agreed 100%. For the first time in years we can fill any position on the ground adequately, even if our beloved captain was injured we can fill his spot (And not with that **** Holland). I think if we can make finals next year it will give us a huge amount of confidence and 2006-2007 should be our peak with our current list.
