Would be nice to have someone under the age of 26 getting a vote for us.

Guessing there is minimal chance that any of these "celebrities" who preview each round will be a Lions fan? 23 rounds, 18 teams, seems simple enough to do.

Thankfully there were Olympics this year and the swim team is 70% Queenslanders.

We may not have come last but shows how bad a season we had with the Bombers collectively destroying us in the team votes.

Zach Merrett with 19 votes nearly polled more than our entire team

Lions 20 votes
Bombers 36 votes

Had a solid night of betting. Didn't bet on outright went for individual 3 vote matches. Won well on Jacks Watts in round 4 and Rocky round 11

Shuey blew a 13 leg multi for most votes for their teams

Take out Zac Merrett and we got more votes than Essendon - it's an individual award so down the low end one consistent player will do it.

That said I had a look at Essendon and in round 4 they got 3 & 2 votes despite being beaten 42-72 by Geelong. Also round 11 they got beaten by 27 points, but picked up 3 & 1. Either a few oustanding individual performances, or some "we expected Essendon to be much worse!" voting...

Our blokes looked like they were sitting at a table that was set up in a hallway or in the kitchen - just embarrassing

Cringey night all round for us really. Leading vote getter on 9 votes, only four total vote getters. Winner beat our whole team considerably. Who actually attended from our team? I only saw Rockliff and his mrs.

Pretty amazing how we managed to have 3 brownlow medalists running around in the same team all in their prime 15 years ago. Has any team come close to that?

Healy, Williams and Kelly all played together on the Swans in 1990, but it was Kelly's rookie year and Healy's last. Bizarrely St Kilda had three Brownlow medalists in a row between 57-59 but they never all played together, let alone as winners.
