Top Five at the TAB, with suspended players ineligible.

Which is good news for me!

Not a big win but it's always sweeter when you win on one of your own players!

Feeling a bit harsh cause I had $25 on rocky at $21 to be top 5 but cause of Stevie J not looking like picking up anything off Sportingbet.com.au. Pretty Harsh if you ask me!

Unsure if this is repeating old news, but Browny said on the red carpet that he was 'leaning towards going around again' which is good to hear.

He was interviewed by SEN and said was definitely looking forward to another preseason but would be dependent on whoever is the incoming coach. Had some interesting comments re recent events and players wanting to leave.

On thread, congrats Rocky!. Looking forward to a whole year of you playing midfield.

I can see Rocky losing the yips in front of goal in the not too distant future to increase his "hurt factor", which will help to improve his vote getting too.

If he plays midfield for a full season he will be in Brownlow contention. His ability to win the ball, effect a clearance, lay a tackle and always pick the right option will see him win a Brownlow one day.

Assuming he's in a winning team. You'd have to be an all-time great like Ablett to win these days in a losing side.

Speaking of Ablett, he's the best midfielder I've seen. He's perhaps the only bloke currently running around who I would have in the best 22 that I've seen.

That'd make a great off-season thread, POBT. Would love to see that team.

Selwood definitely took that step forward in terms of goal-kicking hurt this year as well, which helped his cause to no end. If Rocky can start doing that, watch out.

Thrilled with his rally home. Thrilled with Mayes. Wish Pearce got a few more but thems the breaks ;).

Good sign for Mayes' future prospects that he's already on the umpires' radar.

There are people that say Rocky has low impact disposals. Those that are there & see what he does with it are the ones that give the votes. Just saying.

Well done Rocky, stoked for Mayes, & congrats Gazza.

Congrats Rocky - fantastic. As others have said can't wait for a full year in the mid.

Also, Sam Mayes - brilliant!!!!

Here is a little comparison to last night's winner and our Sam Mayes. At the end of their first season the following Brownlow votes:

G Ablett Jnr - 0
S Mayes - 5

Seasons to first reach 5 votes at the Brownlow:

G Ablett Jnr - 5
S Mayes - 1

I know, so much can happen but what an Awesome start.
