It is interesting that people were quick to write us off after losses at different stages of the last two seasons, I wonder if it will continue in 2026.

Forget after losses, you could find plenty of people writing us off right here in this board…check any game thread after we missed a couple of getabble shots on goal!😂

If there was one minor disappointment last year is was that we didn’t get to beat our biggest rivals in the finals, Carlton was always going to be a walkover due to injuries and I didn’t really see Geelong as a true rival, same with the Swans.

This year getting to play and beat Collingwood, GC and then Geelong after Rayner-gate in week 1 was unreal. Beating big clubs at the G just has a different feel about it.
Watching thousands of Collingwood supporters heading for the exits at the 20 minute mark of the last quarter in the preliminary final was one of the most enjoyable moments I have experienced at the football.

Yeah, I thought it was a fire drill 😂

Even better in the 2003 GF. Behind the goals Punt street end with a large pies contingent situated to the left of us. Glorious day. Was also sitting next to one. :)

We had about 8 loud mouthed Collingwood supporters sitting right in front of us at that game. They didn’t reappear after heading to the bar at halftime. Gave us a clear view of the rest of the massacre. Another great day!

I was so engrossed in the game, I didn’t even notice!

Credit to the Cats - I didn't see many heading for the exits (though I'm sure there were some), even late in the 4th.
We had 1 random cats fan in our standing room section. He stayed until the end and didnt celebrate a single goal, as i think he was a bit scared to.

He was a good sport.

We had one prick of a Cats supporter in our section (and his slightly less prickish partner). Constantly standing up during play, rude as f@ck. No idea what happened to him at the end, we were kicking goals every other minute, he became incredibly irrelevant!

Every supporter base has their bad eggs. Just look at us and Elixuh

We had a few in the section next to ours. A few in our section (which was essentially all Lions supporters) were waving them off, which led to my 9 month old son also waving them off 😂.

This article focuses on the 'outsourcing to content creators' AFL media strategy (read - all AFL.com.au shows will be produced out of SEN next year) but cutting the AFL digital team imperils the GF doco:

Would imagine they will do one but very confident it won't be close to as good as Pound the Rock was for last year.
