Geez for premiers you lot are sure precious about travel and the vagaries of the fixture.

Try this, you've played Gold Coast twice every year since their inception and they have never made the finals...

Collingwood played Richmind twice every year through their dynasty, then they become Laughable and we play them once last year and this year.

It's a fixture. It's fixed. The fixings aren't all a benefit to us at all.
Pretty funny there. I gave simple facts from reading off AFL Tables' list of players who have played at the most venues. If the facts upset you that much that you feel the need to go trawling other boards, maybe reality did hit a nerve?

is it weird that i would feel more confident if this was at the G? Our Gabba form isn't as dominant as it once was, and we've been a stronger away team in the last 12 months.
11-1 away from home since the bye

I do feel we are getting jumped a bit at the gabba. Would like to think it will be a big focus

Pies are hard to beat at the g with that crowd but i would feel like we would be be a better chance at winning at a neutral venue

The 01-04 team did sometimes get jumped at the gabba. But they were also often 8 goals up at half time. One of them would be nice some time soon!

Wow we dont save debuts for soft games. We love a baptism of fire.

Assume that means he's in for Bruce. Would love to see him given the full game on the wing to see how he goes

Edit: Im not a big fan of McLachlan as sub either but dont want a debut as sub either. Not sure if that means I want more changes or not?

Very interesting selection. Tunstill far from impressive in the VFL over the last few years IMO
Two games I have seen this year he has been best on ground in one and near best in the other for the Lions.
All that matters is he has shown it on track and the two games this season.

I didn't think Marshall has exactly been knocking the door down in the VFL, however from reports he has been killing it on the training track. I think same confidence shown to Marshall as Fletcher. Selected more on potential improved game at a higher standard AFL football.

VFL can potentially drag down some players.
Wish them both well.

The way he plays is fine for state footy but I don't see it translating to any sort of strong contribution to an AFL side with terrible ball use and defensive accountability

Intriguing selection

Marshall i can see making sense he has a great tank from memory?

Would have thought Mckenna a much better option as sub. Way more versatile than Tunstill. Played in big games. So i really don’t get one!

Realistically subs rarely do much but Mckenna has had some great little moments as sub.
